Companies just love to mention cool new Apple products in any of their product briefs: "it can be used in laptops such as the Macbook Air". The all-new Diet Coke, can be drank while listening to Apple's iPod!!! Utterly irrelevant...
And in this case- FALSE. The Macbook Air uses 1.8" hard drives, this drive will NOT fit into it. Maybe they could get some other tie-in to look cool. "This drive can be used in an external box connected to Apple's iMac!!!".
Women generally dont sniff their own breasts. Especially when they just put chloroform on them. They tend to not lick their own chlorophorm-smothered breasts. Call me crazy.
This woman is a complete idiot. Not only does she lose her own money, but encourages other Nigerian scammers to scam others. If people didn't fall for it, they would stop doing it.
Not to mention that SHE too is a criminal. I think people have way to much sympathy for people like her. She is NOT an innocent victim, she herself voluntarily participated in a fraudulent scam, and she was clearly aware that her actions were not legal. The fact that she in turn got scammed just does her justice. She should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Then let me reformulate:
Why the heck is this on the MAIN page of slashdot? My main slashdot page (the standard one) says "news" for geeks. One guy getting one phone cloned is not news to anyone, it's been happenning for over 15 years. Who is this guy sleeping with to have his issue moved to the main page?
Stuff that matters?
My questions is why the heck is this an article on slashdot? I thought this was "news for geeks", not some messageboard to vent frustrations. One guy getting his phone cloned isn't exactly "tech news". Who screens this crap?
I don't think this whole discussion about how the RIAA hurts artists applies here... Come on, Weird Al is a comedian and I respect the guy's opinions but he in no way is an "artist" or a "musician". His music is basically hacked from the original artist with the words changed. I presume the record labels have to fork out tremendous amounts of cash to the artists who actually wrote the music for each of Al's songs.
There's this huge fad here in Quebec where an "artist" takes some hip, sellable tune and translates it to french with some dumbass comedic lyrics and makes tons of cash. Basically the consumer wants to hear the song for the music and doesn't give a damn about the lyrics, so one or the other goes. It's a very easy way to make a quick buck without having to work too hard. These people just copied Weird Al's success and have even less merit than he does.
This being said, I think Weird Al is a great guy and his opinions on the RIAA are usually dead on. The whole recording industry has gotten so corrupt that it's not a question of who is getting screwed anymore, it's who is screwing the most people for the most money that comes out on top. The original artists screw the people who wrote the song for them, Al screws the original artists, and his label screws him, then the RIAA screws the consumer.
The bottom line is the consumer is at the bottom of this pyramid of sodomy and will continue to be until there is a serious (mp3) revolt.

Why did you write "picoodle bandwidth exceeded" on Apple's support forums? They probably didnt understand what you meant either.

I don't see why Christians wouldn't use cutting-edge OS's, after all them science guys use em to fake the existance of dinosaurs and cavemen.
