The article you link to doesn't exactly prove your point. Stan Lee Media isn't owned by Stan Lee, they're using a loophole in an already existing contract to try to make money off of The Man's work.
A Marvel spokesperson declined to comment but later issued a statement from Mr. Lee: "I do not support this action and believe the suit to be baseless." Mr. Lee currently serves as publisher emeritus of Marvel Comics. He and Pow Entertainment could not immediately be reached for comment. In January, he filed suit against Mr. Nesfield and two of his associates alleging they illegally took over his former company and infringed on his trademarks and copyrights.
I've already crashed Safari on Windows three times, but I was being pretty hard on it. You have to remember that this is still beta before you start bashing it, though.
Actually, the Plus upgrade goes by your user download history. It doesn't scan your files at all. I know this because I installed iTunes on my work machine, and if I go to the upgrade area and log in, it has the very few songs I can upgrade, even though those songs are nowhere near this computer.
I work for a rather large college that uses Dells. We just got this email this morning:
"Microsoft has given all OEMs one year to only offer Vista on their laptop and desktop products. Dell has reported they will no longer be offering Windows XP as an operating system on their desktops and laptops after December 2007. Dell will continue to provide support for Windows XP until 2011, including driver support.
"Our Microsoft agreement will allow individuals to continue to install Windows XP Professional. Departments can continue to deploy Windows XP professional on Dell machines without issues."
Software piracy is wrong, especially on a corporate scale. I'd write to the higher-ups explaining the options (either going legit with MS or OpenOffice), and if they wouldn't listen I would quit. But that's just me.
I hate dirty pirates.
Let's call our DSs "GameBoys" in protest! (I do anyway by mistake, but now I have an excuse)

My mom was pregnant with me when she saw Return of the Jedi... Shows how young I am.

So we have an end date for XP on Dells.
In a universe where there existed a processor that could actually run Win95.
