I have been married for a long time and I do IT. You have to make decisions in life. Do you want to put your family before work or your work before your family? The computer/internet easily allows for workaholism. Computers that require 24-7 on-call duty allow for workaholism. This is like saying, drinking alcohol causes divorce, because i drink alcohol in excess and I am getting a divorce. If you put alcohol before your family, then this will lead to division, alcohol itself is not necessarily the cause of division. In fact, in many cases it promotes comradery and relationships. It is the addictive/compulsive personality that takes this tool and uses it in a foul manner. Workaholism is also usually rationalized by "care" for the family. with statements like, "I am just trying to provide a 'Good' home for them" or "I really need to 'meet' their 'needs'." These workaholics usually have a driven personality. They want the accolades of the friends, neighbors and co-workers more than they want to spend time loving and nurturing their family. If i was doing a survey i would ask about income in relation to living expenses. If i make 80K/year i can support a 2 child family in South Orange County. I live in South Orange County CA. You may not have a 3 bedroom home that you own, but you can support the needs of your family. However, if you have a mortgage, 2 new luxury cars, eat out a lot, and are constantly spending, maxing out your CC's with wants and not needs, then you will need more like 200k/yr. What is more important? A BMW or time with your kids? If you didnt have time to spend relating to your family when you were married, what makes you think it will change when you get a divorce. Your priorities are Bass Ackwards and now you want custody of the kids so you can train them to be like you? If i was the court, i wouldnt give it to you. You dont even see the error of your ways. Reconcile your marriage, change your job. make some life changing decisions instead of looking for something to blame. It doesnt take a graduate thesis to see that.

Sure. ------- Using Windows 95, simply format a floppy drive with the system files on it. To do this you open MY COMPUTER on the Windows 95 desktop and right click on the 3-1/2" floppy icon. A dialogue box will come up and left click on FORMAT. Select QUICK FORMAT and COPY SYSTEM FILES then click START. Be sure to insert a blank floppy disk in your "A" drive. This will create a bootable floppy disk. Next copy a few files onto the floppy, as follows. Open Windows Explorer and use it to open the c:\windows\command directory. Across the menu bar at the top click VIEW, then OPTIONS, then the VIEW tab. Next click on SHOW ALL FILES, click OK. Look for the file "Format.com" in the command directory. Right click the mouse on "format" and a dialogue box will come up. Click on SEND TO and then 3-1/2" floppy icon. This will copy the file to the floppy drive. Do the same with FDISK.EXE, and MSCDEX.EXE. In the c:\windows directory there's a file called HIMEM.SYS. Copy it to the floppy as well. If the system was loaded using a pre-load there will be a directory called REALMODE in the C:\ directory (or root). Open this directory. Look for the CD-ROM driver. If it is one of Powercomp's systems it will be AOATAPI.SYS. Copy it to the floppy. If you're stumped about what the CD-ROM driver is, open NOTEPAD and open the CONFIG.SYS file. You'll find it in the c:\ directory of your computer. Inside this file, you'll find a line like: device=c:\realmode\aoatapi.sys /d:oemcd000. The .SYS file is your CD-ROM driver. If you have trouble, contact your computer vendor, they'll know which file it is. Or browse and download your CD-ROM driver from DriversHQ or any of these sites: The Driver Zone, WinDrivers.Com, WinFiles, or Frank Condron's World o' Windows. The last step is to create two files for the floppy: CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT. When you boot the computer with the floppy, the computer reads the instructions in these two files. Use NOTEPAD again and start a new file. Type in: DEVICE=A:\HIMEM.SYS DEVICE=A:\AOATAPI.SYS /D:CD01 Replace "AOATPI.SYS" in the line above with the name of your CD-ROM driver, if it's something else. Be sure your floppy disk is in the A: drive. Click on FILE, SAVE AS, and save this file as A:\CONFIG.SYS. Click on FILE, NEW and type in: A:\MSCDEX.EXE /D:CD01. Click on FILE, SAVE AS, and save the file as A:\AUTOEXEC.BAT. You now have a bootable floppy that will fire up the CD-ROM drive as well as be able to format the hard drive. Formatting the hard drive is quite simple. Make sure you have the boot disk that you just made in the floppy drive. Reboot the computer. This will do two things. It will ensure the floppy is going to work and will give you the A: prompt. When A:\ appears after boot, type in FORMAT C: /S and press enter, select "yes" when prompted. This command will format the hard drive and make it bootable. Everything on the C: drive will be destroyed. Once it is finished formatting, reboot the system using the boot disk. ---- credit: http://www.cyberwalker.com/columns/mar98/031298.ht ml

First- to everyone who said, there is no one writing virus' or spyware for macs. Why not? Wouldnt it be great to make a company look stupid who claims to be immune? This should put a big target on their back if anything. Second- The vast majority of mac programs can be installed by dragging 1 package/folder/.app to the application folder and can be run outside of that folder if wanted. There is no need to install .dll's etc... The only installing I did was with my Adobe software. Everything else was drag and drop. Even if i got a piece of spyware on my mac, it would have a hard time installing and launching itself. vs. an activeX control that sends that baby right to your Windows folder to reak havoc.

"As much as they are willing to pay" "well what if someone is willing to charge less" (I think you are ten levels too deep.) Well then the consumer is willing to pay less. Therefore they are paying what they are willing to pay. on another note in response to the first guy It is essentially the same as saying "they should charge as much as people pay" let alone their will. How do you even figure out what the median is with that anyway? what if i am willing to pay 50 dollars and my neighbor 40? My wife and I are people, and we are willing to pay 50. So should they charge 50? My opinion is they should charge as minimum as possible while still being able to produce a great product and take care of their workers. Rather than the Fat Cat taking all the bene's it should go to make the workers happy. Then they will work harder and make better products. Definately it is a supply and Demand curve. I am willing to pay more for better service. The NetZero's of the world don't have a place on my plate.

I am running beta right now and it is not snappy on a middle of the Road 2x2.0 512 and 128mb graphics. I am going to put in more ram see if that helps. Note to windows: Make a version of Vista with removed Legacy support for those of us who are willing to completely move over.
