    To add on to that, the airplane was invented by Alberto Santos Dumont.

    Make a google search. He made the first seelf-propelled airplane, which first flew in Paris with witnesses and all. He was originally Brazilian. I know who they teach here (U.S.) and in Brazil. What do they teach everywhere else?

    A troll is a post designed for the purpose of getting answers.

    This was such a post. That ridiculous stupidity about the U.S. being all great, totally ignoring that you ARE Europeans. Yes. You are. The culture is, anyways. (Yes, tes, there are the other etnicities.)

    The U.S. is a whole bunch of cultures mish-masehed together. The patriotism crap is added on later. Think a bit before you post. What language do you speak? How is your government made? How are your cultural customs? It seems so different for you.... but if you look upon it with objective eyes (I'm Brasilian) there is SUCH a difference!

    I especially liked your comment on languages-- Obscure Brasilian soccer teams in Portuguese (my native language) coupled with secondary star trek characters usually forms a nice password. (encryption-wise.)

    Now with Looking Glass, I agree. Totally. System Shock Two was, quite frankly, a work of art. But Doom is just as Romero's as it is Carmack's. BOTH their names should be up there, together.

    Actually, as the legend goes, the grains start with TWO on the first square, then 4, etc. You end up with a figure of approximately 2^63 (64 squares, we don't count the first.)

    Or, about 30 trillion grains of rice . :-)

    When browsing warez sites (I know, I don't do it often though) I usually find the popups with porn to be the worst. So therefore I use NetCaptor which opens different windows in tabs. Very useful, do try. That is, if you run a winbox.

    Ok, if a^2 = ab then b=a

    if b=a then a^2-b^2 = 0.

    Therefore ab - b^2=0. b=0.

    I am a freshman in a public high school in California.

    I am currently in Computer One. A Pascal class. The point is to understand the CONCEPT of programming, not to make snazzy apps.

    I learned a little visual basic before this class. It helped a lot. It was very usefull.

    I still don't mind taking pascal. Next year, (or during summer) i plan on taking AP computers, a C++ class of the hardest sort. So you see learning pascal isn't so bad. You learn something. Kind of a pointless post, but whatever...

    So you're saying that Mathematics is not a branch of science? Some would say that math IS physics. Science is not the explanation of natural phonomenae. It is the pursuit of knowledge. What's over the horizon, why is the sky blue. Science is exploration. Math is an application of science. It is also its tool. (chicken and the egg.) In science we use what we know to figure out what we don't. In math, we use what we know to figure out what we don't.

    Kind of a paradox.

    Actually, that's a pretty good idea. Make it so EVERY time you load that page, a special ad will come: It looks like a normal ad, but when you put your mouse over it, it tells you your email or a story from CNN. That way, they have to SEE the brand before using the ad.

    Small Businesses are already doing this, without the program.

    The gist of the thing is this: Our Government's main goal for the last decade or so is to raise the poor's living standards. How do we do this? Easiest way: Education. This internet idea wasn't made for giving the poor money, or some stupid way of getting people out of poverty. (as most people here seem to think.) It was made as a source of INFORMATION. THAT, my friend, is the noble purpose to it all.
