I find this whole controversy strange. It seems like the people who hate Apple are complaining that they cant use the iPhone... While the people who love Apple are content to use the iPhone with AT&T.
Look at the real world? IN the US we live in a zip code, a city, in a county, in a state, in a country, on a continent. These are physical boundaries. Servers and drives are physical locations. Map the various areas of the fake world to specific servers and drives.
What happens when real population grows? We add a zip code. Add a drive or a server.
Although the clients maybe "n" the source needs to be "n" as well. For corporate America this is an expensive upgrade - new boards and computers. It might be the end in 20 years. However, I prefer to have wired stationary computers. It seems more stable.

Come visit the San Francisco Bay Area. The liberals here just as intolerant and just has condeming as an conservative. Liberals here hate religion, refuse to accept science that conflicts with their beliefs, and refuse to accept that some lifestyles are OK even if they are undesirable.
Its more of a matter of who is the dominant group. Dominance demands conformity.

At least in manufacturing people are making some kind of widget. But as we can see in the US service jobs pay the least. And labor jobs are leaving the US. Have left.
Apple makes less than 15 per song sold. Additionally, they paid for the building of ITUnes, maintaining it, and advertising. The music industry has zero overhead for selling through iTunes.
This has nothing to do with YOUR back door... this is more like taking *someone else's* CD collection and putting it out on the front lawn with a "Free" sign. And then putting duplicates out on the lawn everday until 100s of thousands of CDs are taken. That is way beyond fair use.
Sharing files when you don't have permission to is a crime. No ifs ands or buts.
I just got a new Mac Book Pro that I am doing fresh installs of all my software rather than migrating.... I'll give it a try before I re-install MS Office. I gave them $5 too.
