Agreed. These apps unnecessarily eat up battery life. I find no reason they can't be uninstalled. I also find the stocks app annoying because it restarts itself a lot and chews through battery like no other. Come on, Sprint, stop loading crap onto phones that cannot be removed.
I have a feeling the gPC selling out has little to do with people getting tired of Windows. After reading quite a few customer reviews, a lot of people didn't even realize it didn't have Windows on it. I'm sure if they had questions about it, there weren't too many people working to help. Have you ever spoken to someone working in electronics at Walmart? It's amazing they got the job there. You'd think they would hire people suited for the task.
As a Staples employee, I hear of this kind of garbage all the time. Usually about the Geek Squad messing up something on someone's pc/laptop, but even my ex-manager had a great story about Best buy refusing to take his $100 bill (which he had just got from the bank after cashing his check) and calling the cops.
It's suggesting a Firefox Lite. Not Mozilla Lite. Yes, Firefox is supposed to be Mozilla Lite, but that is not what is CNet is talking about. Due to many features you may not need, Firefox has become bloated and sluggish at times.

Be fair. You can get a pretty decent deal sometimes. Just don't get any add-on services.
That makes it better.

Verizon has been burning customers for years...except it was usually their wallets.
