Worthwhile?... I dont know. Before all this capitalism (and oil) the world was a very harsh place. Nevermind the flat screen tvs, refrigerators, indoor plumbing, microwave ovens, cars, and other things the poor have here now, basic things like heat, ac, and food are widely available to our poor. People have no understanding of how bad things used to be.
Increased minimum wage in one region will likely increase automation in areas that do not increase the minimum wage since it will accelerate technology related to automation.
that 3.2 mm/year rise is terrifying. I'll play some music signaling impending doom and you can start running. Either that or stop watching ridiculous disaster movies on TV.
The forced sterilization was done by Democrats. The south didn't like Republicans for a long time after they took away their slaves and burned their cities. The Democrat party is the owner of slavery, eugenics, segregation, and the KKK.
They make it difficult to remove. You can't just click a button or turn off a service if you want it really to be gone (like i do.) I ended up having to change ownership of the directory and then moved it so it can't load. It made a huge performance improvement on my son's (relatively old I7) laptop.
When we go on vacation i pick up a sim card for cricket (which uses ATT network) to go along with our TMobile phones. Last time we took a vacation and drove from the Texas panhandle up through the black hills in South Dakota we had absolutely no service from TMobile the whole way. Normally here in Austin and in other populated areas TMobile works great and is much cheaper than getting a plan from ATT or Verizon (who actually do have coverage in a lot of the sparsely populated areas.) The meager 5 MB of roaming that TMobile offers (per month) was completely useless since it was immediately eaten up by google maps and syncing email.
blocking the device from connecting to the carrier is one thing but intentionally bricking the phone is another (by preventing it from charging.) How long until the lawsuits?
Nothing is simple when you have a million users. Sure, it's quite easy to do a quick search and delete on a small number of mailboxes but for a million? It's a shit ton of servers and mailboxes to search through. At least it works better than it used to... Still, i'm surprised that they didn't restrict who could send to the distribution group (I"m pretty sure they are using MS Exchange.)
There are lots of examples for scripts to do the search & delete but it probably has to be broken up into lots of smaller batches to avoid killing servers or hitting memory limits.

The amount of power required to charge a Tesla is vastly higher than most home solar arrays provide (even if you dedicate them to charging the car, which you can't since most people take their cars with them during the day and solar arrays don't produce at night.) Solar City was facing hard times due to the economics of solar and shifting the ownership to Tesla isn't going to change that, it will just shift the costs. (I installed an 11kw solar array at my home so i do realize what's involved regarding cost, installation, etc. )
It's not reducing bag waste. Many people (like me) used the disposable bags for other things and now have to buy additional bags. It's also slowed down the checkout at the grocery store.
One superfecta win proves nothing. If it's so great then try running it on 30 or 40 races and publish the results, then i'll believe their work. I'm betting there is too much unknowable information in horse racing for it to work reliably.
Really, what additional personal freedoms do we have in Austin? The freedom to be required to bring our own bags to the grocery store? The freedom to have endless bureaucracy (and cost) when trying to build anything?
There are no wages for the automation but you do need to amortize the cost of the machine & service.

They might not be good players but at least there are a multitude to choose from.

It's too easy to get you facebook account deleted or locked out for it to be useful for this.
How many seconds of data before you reach your monthly data allotment? ATT will find a way to stick it to you on your bill.

$25 is ok... $50 is way too much.

you have to take NY, DC and a few others with you.
Are you serious? The EU budget deficit rules are almost universally violated.
They could eliminate corporate taxes and just tax personal income.
He won't need to. Despite what Obama says, this is a treaty and it's not valid without Senate approval.
It's based on bullshit. It's been determined that that's the easiest way to generate clicks and outrage from the Prius army.
I don't think it's included in the quoted price for a powerwall.

Definitely scammed but i'm not sure they are the first. I think they have had several government grants already.
I have been using Roku 3s for Plex but switched to the 4k fire TV box and like it. It doesn't need a fan like the 4k Roku box.
