    If you don't like Uber or Lyft's background checks you can still use a regular taxi and benefit from the increased competition.

    If you google the rates of PTB in Beijing you will see that it is substantially lower than the US. Have you ever seen how polluted Beijing is? I'm skeptical.

  8. And they wonder why a majority of people in the US disbelieve global warming. The only potential disaster from this is tear stained prius seats. You can argue over whether global warming is real or not but even if you take the worst case scenario, this is such a small amount of C02 compared to global emissions and the effect on temperature will be too low to measure.

    I used to use OS/2 many years ago and it was great compared to the microsoft alternatives but the world has moved on and OS/2 hasn't. If you want an alternative to MS use Linux or OSX.

    I looked through a sample and it seemed to be loaded with Russian email addresses. A quick check of a few phone numbers turned up a testing center, a credit agency and a loan processing company. These are the first numbers i checked so looks like it's 0 for 3 on the phone numbers.

    Fracking has reduced emissions in the US. China's is continuing to go up despite the solar, wind, etc. Maybe you need to go back to school.

    Yeah, i used to use them years ago. It worked great until they started having capacity problems so we switched to Ironport.

    We will never run out of either coal or oil. The price will increase to the point where they are no longer economical but there will still be a lot of both in the ground.

    Electric cars are still a niche market and will probably remain that way until batteries improve. http://www.science20.com/scien... I'd love to have an all electric car but they are too expensive and have limited range. Most of them are also too damn small (because the batteries still suck.)

    How can a computer algorithm be racist? I just did a search on mine and when i type in "dog" it found my white cat and my 8 year old son. It's no different from autocorrect. People need to lighten the fuck up.
