>rather than trying to break into the standalone desktop OS market.
It's there and dominant in a whole host of industries. The western world would collapse if Linux ceased being available on the desktop. For example we couldn't make chips.
Back when the whole Mozilla controversy was going on there were endless posts about how "just not liking gays" was somehow a perfectly okay position to take, and blaming them for daring to demand equality and human rights.
Way to simplify that topic. Being against gay marriage is not the same thing as being homophobia (a fear of gays) nor is it not the same thing as not liking gays. I am not for dads marrying daughters but that doesn't mean I hate dads or daughters.
Additionally, what about the times when you forget to turn off your out of office? Heck, I usually forget to update my work phone voicemail for at least a month (or until someone else notices.)
Tea Party candidates need to say, "This is about small government, limited spending, and low taxes. Period end of story. NO abortion. NO religion. NO immagration. NO anything else."
That's crap. When they say small government, the left make it a social issue by dragging in funding for plan parenthood, welfare, and other causes.
Where exactly do you want to cut spending? I'm guessing only the military, right? Funny thing is that when a Republican suggests this (Paul comes to mind), they are then called isolationists who don't care about the suffering of peoples in non-white countries.
All government spending is tied - at least indirectly - with social issues
This is wrong - Karl Rove has been very vocal against the tea party and has consistently supported whichever candidate that was not part of the tea party.
Yeah - I'm sure that is the reason behind this. That's why the Republicans target Apple so much... oh wait, they don't.
But way to stretch to find a link. You're way of thinking really explains how the terror watch list is so big ("that person knows someone who's brother's friend once went to a "terrorist" website!")
Which is why we have the Tea Party now. People were fed up with the Republicans... even other Republicans.
That said, the media have done a great job painting every extremist as the face of the Tea Party (even when that extremist isn't even part of the Tea Party.)
It is not shown on TV so really, the only real way for it to spread is for people that loved the show to spread it. It's possible if you can get them threw season 1. (I skipped season one with my late wife but she was hooked pretty quick in season 2.)
The sad thing is that it was great - that said, only season 2 and 3 were very consistent in that greatness.
4 was rushed and it showed with the terrible resolutions to the Earth Civil War and Shadow War. 5 was awful except for the Centari storyline. Season 1 was good but only in hindsight.
The solution to the Shadow War was awful and really felt like a cheat. More set up should have been given for the Shadows fear of abandonment ("so we will not be alone?") as a motivation that end the war. The Vorlons were very uneven as well. If Kosh 1 was the only one that cared about humans, why did the Vorlon fleet fight the shadows? And why did Kosh 1 not do more - anything - to fill Sheridan in on what the war was really about?
Who commanded them in a war against his own people? Who had previously sworn an oath to Earth? Who killed (rightly or wrongly) thousands of humans and left Earth nearly defenseless?......
As it happened, the most compelling story JMS had (President Clark and the Civil War) was the one that got short shrift because of the looming threat of cancellation. More's the pity.
I agree with this 100%. When Sheridan reacted in rage after the EA ship destroyed the civilian ship, I was pissed. It was very familiar to the way Delenn reacted that started the Earth - Mimbari war.) Especially when he acted like he was going into a fair fight with the white star fleet at his disposal.
And toward your comments earlier about the messiah Sheridan... it was very frustrating watching because everything Garibaldi was saying and complaining about regarding Sheridan was true. I would have loved to see the crew more evenly split among choosing Sheridan or Garibaldi.
Same - for me a hotel is a room and place to rest. I spend as little non-sleeping time in a hotel as possible so the giant, expensive hotels are a waste for me.
Agreed. When downloading shows, I make sure to never get the HD stuff because the SD stuff just looks awful in comparison. Without that comparison, though, I'm usually good with a SD version.
Except when I lived next to a gas station, I never lived in a neighborhood that had a payphone. And yes, I am old enough to predate cell phones
Ownership is a great statue of freedom.
If you don't understand the difference in freedom that comes with private ownership versus government ownership, you are most definitely a far leftie.

But the eastern world would be ok?
It's not an all or nothing idea.
This does seems to be the new meme, though. I am seeing this great "comeback" pop up all over the place.
I guess the left really do get their news from the same place.
It's unfortuneate that Digia uses this as an excuse for unethical purposes.
What is the unethical activity they are doing?

The only time I hear the 5000 year old Earth argument is when the pro-evolution folk say that creationist believe this.
It's very easy to let your bias determine for you how others probably think.
Additionally, what about the times when you forget to turn off your out of office? Heck, I usually forget to update my work phone voicemail for at least a month (or until someone else notices.)
Then your customers assume that they have the wrong email address
I used to do something similar as the author. My out of office was something to the effect of
"I will be out of the office from XX to XX. During this time, John will be my point of contact and he can be reached at john@email.com.
If you prefer to wait until I return to work, please send me a follow up email so I know your request still needs attention."
That said, I still went through all my emails when I came back. This system just helped me prioritize.
It's the red states spending money on programs that were forced on them from the blue states (and feds)
Your funny.... or to young to remember Gray Davis who is the one who took the surplus that California used to have and squandered it

Same for Texas
I enjoyed the Lost Tales - they didn't add anything to the B5 universe but they were enjoyable (at least the first one with the devil.)
JMS would throw a fit at anyone that tried to take over his B5 stuff.
Call to Arms would be great with a new music score
Yes, but there are very few new viewers.
