For every case of a police officer abusing his power, there are literally millions of cases of police officers simply doing their jobs.
I don't think you understand that the point isn't this specific officer, it's a government in which this kind of abuse is generally permissible.
Would you speed if you know you wouldn't get a ticket?
The whole reason he knows he won't get a ticket is because cops look out for each other before they look out for the people they're supposed to protect. Not sure what point you think you're making there...
1. Buy a full inventory of ammo.
2. Hole up in an alley.
3. Type "bringiton" and watch your wanted level flash up to 6 stars.
4. Relieve angst against The Man by killing hundreds of fat cops.
Oh wait, are we talking about real life here?
My sweaty left wrist wore all of the paint off of my "Designed for Windows XP" sticker, so it was just an ugly tab of shiny silver. Finally got the thing off with water
Oh come on.. copyright is law, but it's evil. Complying with authorities that indend to enforce copyright is assisting the evil. You can't say "the courts are still relatively fair here, and the person will receive a trial that determines his guilt or innocence... Google provided information to the courts that will help in that determination" since the courts (by definition) follow the law, and the law in this case is evil. So in this case "Don't be evil" translates "Don't obey the law."
The copyright=evil statement might not be true but surely you can see the reasoning.
And the criticism mentioned is criticism for doing evil.. not directly equal to actually being evil but it's a clear relation
Counter-Strike has had muting for ages, you can "start playing online" again right now. With no monthly fees, and you don't have to host your own games. --~~~~

Uh, are YOU this stupid? He's saying that anyone has the right to knowingly make whatever false statements they want to. Which is what the constitution says.
Don't forget:
Feb 5th, 9am: No games yet announced for DX10 platform
Feb 5th, 10am: Still no games requiring DX10
Aug 7th, 2pm: Barbie Vacation Adventure announced requiring DX10, first customer hesitantly orders Vista
Because it's not just something shiny. You can fire the laser from basically anywhere on earth that's facing the moon and it will return in exactly the opposite direction right back at you. Shiny surfaces don't do that; it takes a precise structure
They have a mirror set up on the moon so that anyone who knows where to look can fire a laser at it and get a reflection back; that conspiracy theory has been debunked long ago
I saw this at the airport in Columbus, OH. I guessed at the time that it was some kind of scam, but I was confident in my computer's security so (since the airport's wifi wasn't working) I just used the scam network.
Since when is $150 for a stick of SODIMM DDR2 cheap? I just bought a GB for my thinkpad and I can't help but think of the 30 hours of minimum-wage cashiering it took to enjoy a little extra memory...
Yeah but you can't deny that in DM-style games the bots can rarely hold their own against even mediocre players. I was beating the much-vaunted UT99 "godlike" bots after only months of playing. Also counter-strike is no fun if you die and you're just watching bots play..

But the internet? What counts as an emergency service?
Emergency services? What?
Or sealing automagically when an action hero shoots out the big glass windows protecting the citizens from Mars's hazardous atmosphere (total recall)
Electric pencil sharpener with a little vacuum action? A stash of presharpened pencils?
Narrowminded. Just tie the motors right into the generators. Problem solved.

They copied OS X's inability to play mainstream games.
Heh, whoops :)

In court we force people to relinquish their right to free speech. There's no shadow play going on; everyone knows what's going on.
Wikipedia is faster than Google for me...
Minis are a cooling nightmare. How are you going to play games?! Oh wait..
Just got my copy today.. and they did do away with Soap Bubbles.bmp. But now they have a Bubbles screensaver. (No joke!)
