    Stabilized video gimbals with thermal capabilities are not a few hundred dollars.

    If you want precise targetting, you'd use a Tomahawk or a drone.

    I may be mistaken, but did they not say that this would be a drone / manned capable plane which would be launching said munitions?

    They would have no one to sell their products to NOW, but that is changing. They are slowly shifting from an export economy and are increasing their internal consumption. Think 30 years from now, not next week.

    Hence the term "Back in the day", it was designed to be an all weather interceptor from the start, which was later pressed into ground support. You could not do the reverse for something like the A-10.

    We haven't dumped the F-22 for the F-35 as they are two different roles. F-35 is designed to be a multi role aircraft, the F-22 is air superiority only. Back in the day there was a phrase for the F-15: "Not a pound for ground", the same applies to the F-22.

    I had the EXACT same situation in 1996~97. I remember the 1984 Olympic M&M's, and they had turned white from the fat leeching out I guess. Yes, I ate them hehe

    Sure, but that doesn't work for older areas. My house is a row house built in 1912. They came through and re-ran gas lines through my area 2 years ago and it was a 2 year project. I would love if our power company would do the same, but they can't invest in projects like that as it is a long term cost that they can't/won't justify. I wish it was not the case.

    Infrastructure issues where I live in VA were tree's taking out powerlines and crashing into houses / cars. I suppose we could cut them all down though.

    So, you are only "elite" if you are a zealot then? I use a mac for dev work, and linux for servers. I use them solely because they are the best tool for their respective jobs in my opinion.
