Maybe I'm just paranoid, but when i found cannabis a decade ago as a teenager and learned how great it is, I lost all faith and trust in a government and people that deem it illegal or just bad. The only harm cannabis brings stems from its legal status. It's a goddamn conspiracy. I'm convinced anyone that is against it must be some kind of robot.
It would be a lot less harmlful if it WAS legal...
1. You wouldn't have to deal with the shady characters that deal and traffic it.
2. You could buy it in edible forms and save having to smoke it and damaging your lungs.
3. Many more points I'm sure. Being half-illegal is so dangerous. Either crack down and put shock collars on every citizen or drop this illegal substance non-sense altogether.
Games for Windows is a load of crap. I thought it was great at first because Crysis and Fallout 3 both had full support for the USB XBox 360 controllers out of the box. All I had to do was plug it in. Great, I like to relax and sit back with a controller at my PC like I do at with actual Xbox.
Then I rushed out to buy Call of Duty: World at War for my PC because it also had the logo. No controller support whatsoever. WTF? What does Games for Windows even mean then if it's not going to be a coherent Xbox like experience for windows gaming? The whole effort feels very much like scam now.
This kind of story always leaves me shocked at the large number of idiots on slashdot. The bulk of posts are group A vs group B type garbage. Censorship sucks no matter what and we need to figure out ways to prevent it, that's all there is to this. Nationalism is a sign of stupidity. None of us got to weigh the options and pick the country we were born in.
How much of what you do is the food you eat and the air you breathe? For most of us, performance in all areas takes a nose-dive without these things. And so on...
A lot of recreational drugs help with relaxation too. The only reason they are viewed so negatively is, just as with WoW, if you spend too much time relaxed/high you're an unproductive drag on the rest of society. There's never any individual responsibility. Hardcore drug/video game addicts ruin it for the rest of us.
It really seems like they are skipping some steps. Why not first focus on remote controlled fighting vehicles? Wouldn't smaller and lighter versions of platforms like the Bradley, with crew sitting safely in a bunker far away performing the same duties, be a bit more effective at this point?
