These images certaintly illustrate the random nature of most spam. I wonder what images generated from real email would look like. Now all alex has to do is give his algorithm to google so they can show a pretty picture on the sidebar when you are viewing yor spam box in gmail. Mmmm.... Beautiful Spam.
Does anyone know if this is available on the standard maps.google.com page or just for google mobile? It would be nice to check traffic conditions before leaving home or work and plan my route accordingly. No need to be playing with my cell phone while driving.
Isn't this technology all over the place in the form of red light and speed zone cameras? It was just a matter of time until they put these units in the actual police cruisers. Anyways, its not like they cant already see the picture of a postage stamp on the sidewalk from spy satelites.
I assume that if it was profitable for cell phone companies to find a way to create a net neutral infrastructure, there would already be steps in that direction. It seems to me that the biggest reason that they are insisting on controlling their own networks is that it is simply more profitable to them, no surprise the telcom giant want to do the same to the internet. Imagine if ISPs had the same amount of control over the internet that cell phone companies have over their networks now. I dont think what we know as the internet today would have ever gotten as large or productive as it currently is.
There are lots of different page ranking systems, the LGB mentioned in the article is just one of many.
FYI: some common page ranks

... just kiddding, slashdot is actually a 9
I read this article quickly, but didnt see any notes on graduate degrees. I would guess that many of the people that feel like they are juggling different tasks in management/finance role have a graduate degree in management or business (versus an masters or doctorate in engineering).
As a student an engineering intern this is something that I am still contemplating. I wonder how much difference a latter degree can make in the carrer path of a professional engineer.
Why does it always seem that Mircrosoft will come out with the same features as everyone else, and then make it look clean pretty wrap it with a windows bow and say "look what we can do now"
Total case of deja vu: http://www.newscientist.com/article/mg19125614.400 -d%E9j%E0-vu-created-in-the-lab.html
I wonder if the scientists know that they have studied this before, or if they are just getting that "uneasy feeling"
