Actually, an ellipsis usually has three periods. An ellipse is usually a conic section whose plane is not parallel to the axis, base, or generatrix of the intersected cone.
Magicians and charlatans may take advantage of this illusion. Keller observes, "Some people can throw the coin up so that it just wobbles but looks to the observer as if it is turning over." To see whether the predicted bias shows up in actual coin tosses, the team made movies of tossed coins and then calculated the axes of spin.
Ok, I admit it. When I was 10, I noticed that I could toss a coin in such a way to always have it land the same side up (and then I would flip it over onto my hand, thus it would be the opposite side showing). I've used this trick for years to win coin tosses, but never really knew that the coin wasn't flipping (it really looks like it does, so I thought I was just flipping it right so that it spun the same numebr of dice).
You can also place a single die in your palm and roll them so that if a 5 or 6 is nearly guaranteed (which 6 more likely, 5 if you screw up). Doesn't help in craps (where you have to toss them far), but helpful in table top RPGs.
But how do you do what the post you are responding to said? How do you make DVD videos from AVI files you download?
I have Nero 6 and it is a dream for copying, but I still have yet to see an easy solution to making DVDs of, uh, educational material I download that can be played on a standard DVD player.
Then that would take longer than "@", as it would takes 7 extra dit times (13 dits for the two word space and single letter space vs 6 for the two letter spaces)
If you do not put a letter space between A and T you have sent W.
On the topic of the yearly income fines: rather than think twice wouldn't he just hire a driver at 30K/year and have him speed. The resulting speeding tickets would be much less as well and could be covered by a "bonus".
This is actually ideal, because you want the space station to spin in the opposite direction of the screw.
Of course, I'd think you could acheive the same result with a regular screwdriver and a handle. If there is no handle built onto the spacestation, you could make a magnetic one.
I've never seen this social aspect you talk about. The arcades I've been to are a few people being quiet playing video games alone or with their group of friends. At least at the pub, if you sit at the bar you usually talk to people you don't know (if you're outgoing).
Of course, if you sit at a table, you aren't likely to meet anyone new unless another friend is there and introduces you.
It's possible, but in reality, it's probably just that the economy sucks so they can't lay out the cash it takes to buy a whole lot of new machines, and they are probably still paying interest on that 8 player Daytona setup. Their cash still mostly comes from the bar and the food, and upgrading the machines has a low priority.
This is the same reason I only spent $500 on my new computer (still good, Athlon 2000 w/ Radeon 9700 and DVD+-RW) rather than a few thousand: I just don't make as much money anymore.
I am just talking out of my ass, but I don't think the FOV option has anythign to do with multiheads. It's probably something more like the fisheye quake mod, where you can have a higher FOV on a single screen so you can see beside you without turning (something most humans can do naturally, although peripheral vision has it limitations), or even behind you (not natural at all).
Ya know, for $8K I could sell you 4 19" displays as well. Why did people think this was fraud? Is it just that there is one VGA cable or something? What is so special about this?
Actually, it's funny you should bring up sports. Have you ever noticed how the commentators in football and baseball will come up with the most ridiculous stats for whatever player they are talking about to make them sound impressive, even when they are clearly unimportant. Same kind of deal.
Because the Simpsons was origially written as a trilogy?

Yeah, but you can't count that. The reason why TV->movie conversions don't work is because we are used to getting a certain level of entertainment for free and we have to pay for a movie. We expect so much more because we are putting $6.50-$12 (depending on where you are) down to see it, and if it's just a long episode we feel gypped. A movie length episode that you can see for free on TV is like a bonus long episode.
That will also not effect(*) any moderation.
*: yes, it's the wrong word.
A simple DoS is a lot easier. All it takes is a crowbar and some sugar for his gas tank.
True, I just stole the definition from somewhere. I had a correct one, but it didn't sound as fancy as this :)
I also know tht ellipse is a synonym for ellipsis. I just wanted to be a dick.
Great, michael updates the post 3 minutes after my comment, so I get modded redundant.

Pretty useless, since we were talking about for a Windows machine.

It is ^H (0x08). ^M (0x0d, what you put) is carriage return.
Blank would be 0x20.

That's ridiculous. I don't think 20 years from now a rover is going to go to mars to get some good tomatoes.
And it still managed to cut someone off!
How many libraries of congresses of data has Spirit sent back?

Well, you can't just count licensing, but must do a TCO analysis.
