Maybe they won't make it specifically for the enthusiast, but will they include the bells/whistles/extra memory that Windows users get for free/reduced cost?
Then you will understand me 100%. If you purchase a Mac at 25% its because you believe the product will last for 6 years before you have to purchse another one. . . so you are willing to front the cash in order to have it. It's my belief that I can't trust technology to last longer then 3 years. That makes me willing to spend more in the end to have a computer better then your 3 year old Mac.
Just because you never have this problem doesn't mean anything. My grandma who could get viruses on vista even though it askes her to install the virus would think her computer is severely messed up.
No one seems to understand that the idea behind spam is to keep costs low (free) and make as much money to turn the best profit. So even if they make 100$ and spent nothing they turn profit. If someone has to shell out 1400$ in order to push their medication spam they won't make any money. 1400$ seems like a reasonable price to weed out potential spammers.
I used to work for a company that would send out a newsletter every month to anyone who put an email address in our site, whether you liked it or not. Sure we had an opt-out policy but we would definitely make more than 1400$ by sending out 100,000 legitimate business-related email.
So for those who think a spammer would gladly pay 1400$ for easy access to all that is hotmail i just don't see it that way.
T-Mobile hosts plenty of HotSpots of their own around the country (the majority being in a starbuck nearest you). So if you have a cell phone that is capable of Wi-Fi and CELL you can utilize a t-mobile hot spot when you're close or cell network when you're far.
It's a t-mobile back end either way you connect.
In this senario which is most likely? That the optical drives in the units wear out and can not read data OR that the CD/DVDs get scratched by normal use to where data is unusable.
It has nothing to do with RAM so I may be offtopic, but I beg to differ.
I run two boxes x64. One is an Intel P4 with EMT and the other an AMD Athlon x64. Both run x64 OS and both x64 and x32 programs. I have two devices that will not run on x64 out all my components. An old Linksys wirelss adapter and an old soundcard.
I understand the reason these drivers don't work is due to Microsofts changes to both Networking and sound processing in Windows. So honestly IMO the gap in support between 32 and 64 is dramatically closing.
Could it mean you or I could then speed "within the law" up to 17 MPH over the sign?
To me, I could give two craps if a cop speeds passed me. But if I press harder on my gas pedal to get home faster and get a $100+fine and traffic school then damn right I'll be pissed.
Looks like we as IT professionals will have to tighten security in order to keep these "Free Thinkers" from spreading the word.

That's untrue, Circuit City isn't selling you the copy. They are only facilitating that which may be more difficult and illegal for you to do at home for the low low fee of $10. If I want to purchase a DVD and play it on my fancy Video IPod I can either goto illegal sites, download an illegal bit of software, and illegally copy my DVD to a format playable on my Video IPod; Or I could simply buy a DVD at Circuit City walk over to a counter pay an extra $10 and leave with two forms of the movie.
One thought might not be to write all these things to Slashdot only.
When people complain to Mac Fanboys they get the infamous "Move to Apple and feel good".And when people complain to Windows Fanboys they get the all important "Hack the registry or just don't do that".
Why don't you make a difference and write in the feedback for each problem that occurs?
Every chance I get at telling my "Two lincolns" to Microsoft directly I do so. This is why the BETA is out. Not for Fanboys to complain about how it's obviously not done.

This can only mean they changed something in the Matrix

You also had a 4Gen ipod. Not a 1st gen iphone.

If by run you mean boot, run, restart and use all the buttons then . . . No.

Mesh isn't always a networking term.
12. to cause to match, coordinate, or interlock: They tried to mesh their vacation plans. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/mesh/

Let us not forget how much CDs actually cost. Though minute, I'm sure sales would be down a little only until they start limiting prints of CDs.

If you continue to purchase licenses per machine at a discounted University rate you'll survive.
So what you would want is a machine where you choose what is going in it? Similar to the muscle car industry putting supercharged hemi's in cars without proper handling? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muscle_car#Politics_o f_the_muscle_car
Give them what they want. When you don't know what you are doing you'll run into a wall. . . hard.
