  1. CensorWare that "learns" on Symantec Tries to Censor Criticism · · Score: 3

I've seen many replies complaining about a 3rd party deciding what defines "obscene" or "inappropriate".
How about a program that allows a parent to define their own list of sites to block. The parent (and this should be the husband, since he is the ultimate boss), would have to look at a continous stream of porn sites and click "yes-offensive for kids" or "no".
He would have to use the program alot to make sure all the bad sites got blocked, but wouldn't the peace of mind be worth it?

This will only make the problem worse. Amazon will say only they have the right to use amazon.*. There goes (17576 * country) domain names right off the top. Look at eToys vs etoy. eToys thinks they have the right to other people domain names.
Maybe the only real solution is to get rid of domain names altogether and have a category-based browser type directory.
Personally, I would rather see Internet2 started and restricted to those who have a clue.

Putting it in the same league as B5 leaves me speechless. Did anybody ever wonder why in the first episode of Space:A&B, we have a bunch of kids who will do anything to get to space, so they jump on board a colony ship and take off. After landing on some planet, they are completely obliterated by a bunch of mean aliens. The colonists were completely defenseless because humans had never discovered any other alien beings. Fast forward a couple of days and the earth has a complete space military complete with battle cruisers, fighters, landing parties, etc. Why all this defense when the earth thought they were alone in the galxy? Where was the escort for the colonists? WHY DIDN'T THOSE KIDS JUST JOIN THE MILITARY TO START WITH?

Just spoke with DB. You can sell as many shares as you like, but you cannot place "stop loss" orders. You just have to watch the price and call when you want to sell.
