They get paid to play games all day. In the article, it said one guy plays for 12 hours a day 7 days a week. I am lucky if I get 2 or 3 hours a day 5 days a week - and I don't get paid for it.
I think the reason he said you couldn't use it more than 2 years is because cell phones seem to be made like jewelry, not tools. They look pretty, but tend to have a hard time holding up to pockets, water, drops onto concrete, etc. Many times, a seemly perfect, cell phone will just stop working one day. I've had things like the charging port on a Siemens quit working and one time the microphone died on an Ericsson phone. Both of these phones had no other problems, but became useless when these little things happened.
That's a good analogy. The atoms probably transmit the "information" to move in a wave when the pole is that long. There would probably be inertia and a lot of mass involved, unless the rod was very thin. So, I am guessing that the rod would either be too heavy to move, or it would "scrunch-up" when pushed from one direction.
Got me thinking about portals and wormholes. It would be cool to build a really big/powerful engine in a warehouse and place a wormhole/portal on the driveshaft end. Then put the output wormhole/portal under the hood of my car and connect the driveshaft to my transmission. It would reduce the weight of my car by locating the engine in a garage far, far away.
I work full-time as a system admin, I have three kids under age 7 and a wife. Yet I still manage to spend at least four hours a day logged into EVE-Online (granted most of that time is spent mining haha). Having a family is a poor excuse for not being able to log some serious mmorpg time.
Lonely is exactly right. I play EVE-Online (yes, even though the devs cheat). I love the interaction with other people. There is something to be said about working with another person and having them depend on you, rather than some NPC.
I remember those commercials very well. One of them said: "have you ever sent a fax from the beach? You will! and the company that will bring it to you: AT&T"
My 16 year old mind always wondered who would want to send a fax from the beach.
No, wait, I meant that there will be fewer switchers now that MS isn't forcing Vista on everyone. Of course those who spent lot's of money on Apple's products aren't going to dump them and switch back.
When are they going to release all of the missing items in EVE? For example: the Large 'Hope' Hull Reconstructor. I looked for one for months and even offered huge sums of ISK on the buy/sell forums.
I got frusterated and stopped playing about 8 months ago. I made a trial account last week only to find they still haven't released it.
1999 called. They want their Geocast back... The idea of delivering internet via airwaves is so NOT new. It never got off the ground then, and it won't now. If you want wireless internet, get a $50 router or a $60/month Verizon aircard.
No, he's not really black. I saw on The Colbert Report (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colbert_report) that he is an "African" African-American. His family came here in the 1950's, or something. Colbert was interviewing a lady who insisted that that made him different than a "normal" black person - you know, his family didn't go through slavery, etc... Colbert suggested that Obama should run as a white guy to have the best chance of getting votes. Pretty funny interview.
I'll take a cheaper car if all it has is some Google Ads :o)

/signed - I think all games would be cool if you could save at arbitrary points. Even shooters.
What about that game he played on his "desk" where he had full freedom to go wherever he wanted and do what he wanted. That would be cool.

I agree. If anything, I want more LEDs on my gadgets!
Is it April 1st already?
Where the hell are my mod points?!

Vista was the one thing that got a few people to switch to Apple. Long Live XP!
Thanks for the link! That is awesome.

Done.
No pics?
I doubt the incentive would be enough to make much difference anyway.
Don't forget "that fishy smell". Even if it didn't prevent cancer at all - that's a pretty good reason for the vaccine.
If that device works as advertised I will have to buy one.
Ligers, bred for their skills in magic, are awesome.
So, yes. Race matters

Awesome reading. Thank you.
