You have synchronous dsl? $45/mo gets me 12 Mbps down 1 Mbps up
It takes me a very long time to maintain a 1.0 ratio let alone a 2.0 considering it takes me 12 times longer to upload the same amount of data than it does for me to download it.
Peta tends to forget that. However so do most people.
I think the ACLU and OSHA are the main ones but you would think someone would start PETP people for the ethical treatment of people. Or I suppose you could name it PETH if you wanted to be specific.
What kind of dsl do you have? The highest upload speed I can get is 1mbps on att uverse dsl. Assuming each iso is 1GB in size on average it would take roughly 3 hours for each one.
Although if I could saturate my upload 24/7 I could use 300GB a month but bittorrent does not seem to do a good job at maxing out the uplink unless there are a lot of peers and very few seeds.
If its important to you and that seems too much trouble get a phone that you can still do a battery pull.
Also good because then you can swap battery's and not worry about charging your phone.
Someday people will be able to 3d print their own custom cases. And a new battery door for the tv remote.... Till then I suppose a dremel will have to do.
If you wanted to do this at any scale you could get custom made ribbon cables put a switch on the side of the phone. If it were me id rip off the volume buttons and put the on off switch down in the hole so it was protected like a dip switch.
But then again I only use my phone as a phone so I don't need the volume buttons.
Seriously though why would anyone think this was a good idea? On that note why does google not allow me the option to use the desktop site on mobile and sometimes not even on desktop?!
Every one I have run across has wanted a CC not bitcoin. Although its been about a year since i've seen one.
They didn't encrypt files but they often prevented you from running any other programs until you paid up so I still consider that ransomware even if not on the same scale.
As best I was able to tell from the summary they were talking about cable tv networks.
As such if you had to pay for cable service to watch it then yes you got to pay to see the ad even if you didn't watch it.
If you are talking about broadcast tv then yes you are correct.
Unless you watch broadcast tv on cable because the cable company is required by law to carry broadcast stations and also required by law to pay a carriage fee for those channels.
No commericals are not there for your benefit. You shall not be paid.
Hulu says ad's allow them to provide their service at a lower price. Yet still refuses to offer ad free service at a premium. Even their ad free service is just mostly ad free.

last time I was at O'Hare the wifi at the airport was a lot better than gogo in flight wifi.
Although that was a few years back.
You must have better speaker on your phone than mine does that or some of your family's phones have really good mics.
The volume on the voice and the volume on the ringer have stayed maxed out since I got it.

I wouldn't think it would take a lot of effort to mod in a physical on off switch from the battery. Assuming you can get the case open.

What brand and model and can it record broadcast tv?
Yep they know it too.
A few years ago there was a episode of Phineas and Ferb where they were poking fun at that.

If only the scifi err syfy channel still had shows after the ads end.
Viacom may need to work on their negotiation skills it's pretty hard to get dropped and replaced by a cable company.
Suddenlink (one of the two cable companies here in town) dropped viacom's network after some rather ridiculous rate hikes.

Just as long as you understand you paid for a part of that break.
Lets see..
The newest addition is yourkarma's neverstop
$50/mo for 5/5mbps unmetered cellular data limited speed but no caps.
Verizon xlte unlimited data grandfathered plan $65/mo no caps no speed limits.
Verizon 3g unlimited data grandfathered plan
$60/mo no caps 3g only so 3g speeds dynamic public ip.
I can personally vouch that Verizon's 3g and xlte unlimited plans really aren't capped.
Although I have not used yourkarma's neverstop service so I confirm it yet.
