    Skype is, as far as ive ever seen, spyware free.

    Well no, debian makes sure everything is tickeyboo before releasing a new stable. Of course, that is once in a blue moon.

    Ubuntu is dedicated to a 6 month release schedule. You get a pretty stable OS, nice new stuff coming with it, amazing ease of use, and apt..updated consistently every 6 months with security/bugfixes in between.

    Cant ask for much more than that in a desktop OS.

    You do realize that ubuntu freezes debian unstable every 6 months, works the bugs out, then releases it right? Its just like debain unstable, but stable and more of a 'it just works' type philosophy. Amazing hardware detection upon install thats for sure.

    Agree with the other posters here...I've found my mx duo to be very useful. I'm always turning the monitor towards the bed to watch tv and movies, using the mouse as a webpage scroll 'remote' while i relax in my chair..etc.

    The mouse is rechargable like a cordless phone, so its never inconvinient. Been doing very well sofar, with no downside except the cost.

    www.isohunt.com already indexes an assload of sites and is ad-supported. It is my primary site of this sort.

    Also, isnt it kind of stupid for bram to release something like this? Kind of really makes the bittorrent look even more like it is used mostly for illegal things. Not like it matters, just a tool, etc. But the MPAA might take notice and use it for more propaganda fuel.

    (app data/firefox/ or whatever it is.)

    or in nix ~/.mozilla/firefox//
    make sure tbe is installed and moz is closed when you overwrite your current settings.

    Once you use tab browsing the way it is meant to be used, you will never be able to go back.

    Viruses and spyware are, in the majority, cause by stupid users.

    Think if everyone used macs, and the spyware laden programs started coming out for macs, stupid joe user wouldnt install them ?

    Assuming the OS code is inherently more secure..which is hard to say, the problems still wouldnt go away if everyone switched to mac.

    The USA can suck my balls if they want us to adopt the DMCA. We dont even want the concessions they have made as it is, never mind the full DMCA.

    While im sure it will eventually happen, I've certainly been calling local politicians and telling them about my feelings towards the DMCA and copyright legislation change.

    The only way to keep things the way they are is to voice to those in charge that this is the way you like it! Come on canadians dont get lazy on this one.

    What kind of crap is that?

    How does google making a search page make this any closer? Especially when google is well known for their unobtrusive ads. Maybe a small ad WHEN you search but just walking by some place?

    SMS and web browsing on your phone already exist. Google releasing a local search (which is sweet when used with google maps BTW) isnt going to start the spamming of your cellphone.

    I suppose I have been trolled, since that sentance couldn't have been meant as much else.
