It's more Taoist than Buddhist (for more/better explanation of Taoism, read "The Tao Te Ching" by Lao Tsu/Tzu (spelling depends on publisher of book).
With regard to Buddhist/Taoist stuff in Star Wars, the entire Jedi Knight theme is _very_ Buddhist (as is the entire concept of "The Force" as the universal life energy). Jedi Knights supposedly use a form of Aikido/Tai Chi (the entire positioning of the body, completion of the circle of aggression), etc.
These are only my initial ideas on it, but having seen the films several times, the more I see them, the more I think about this subject.
SuSE and Mandrake are both good - and surely it's better to be spoon-fed with Mandrake if you're going straight from Windows to Linux for the first time?
I know I'm going to get grief for this, but all of the SW franchise appears to be based on Buddhism/Taoism anyway, and (Oh God, hate myself for saying this - I hated Jar Jar too, OK?) Jar Jar was actually quite a major facet of the entire Buddhist/Taoist thing of "doing by not doing", i.e finding that sometimes the path to the completion of a task is found by accident.

In the UK - Lenny Henry. Also the entire "Goodness Gracious Me" crew. (OK, they're Asian/Indian rather than African-American, but the semantics are the same.)
There's a few others as well, but I'm crap at remembering names....
In the UK, some channels (the main terrestrial ones) use PDC (Programme Delivery Control) which does send out a signal to say "program x starts now". ITV (the main UK commercial channel) protested about it tons, and withheld from using the system for about 18-24 months after the other 4 had started using it. However, I'm pretty sure they're using it now. The PDC on these channels can be picked up by Tivo and used, but none of the satellite/cable channels have gone with it here yet - I assume because a) they like pissing people off, or b) because they get most of their revenue from advertising that people miss if their VCRs/PVRs only start recording at the start of the programme.
Rare, yes. Unheard of, no.
Think of places like Tokyo Subway system with Sarin Gas (Aum Shinrikyo cult - now nicely renamed and distancing themselves from Tokyo and Sarin). The think of bomb attacks - if Macveigh had been a biologist, what could he have done with (for example) an anthrax bomb? (Not hard to create - read "Cobweb" by Neal Stephenson for more details!) If other terrorist organisations (the IRA/Real IRA in the UK for instance) got into Biowar, it would be a lot nastier than most of us can imagine.
Thank God! It wasn't just me!
You've made me feel much happier today. I did the same kind of thing, only I got failed because "I hadn't fulfilled the requirements of the assignment" because it
"Wasn't in BASIC"
- this was a Computer Studies teacher who didn't understand assembler etc. properly. *Sigh*
_However_ the story on Slashdot when this thing was going to take off also said that they've kept it aloft for >30 hours. (From the original article - Since its maiden flight in 1998, the Global Hawk has made flights of 30 hours and more. . Which makes it high on endurance (as in time) as well as endurance (as in distance).
6. Voila, too ;)
Might have had more luck if you'd looked in alt.binaries.damascus.swords.
Of course, stick a shedload of metal onto this thing in the shape of bombvs, and you lose 95% of it's stealthy characteristics straight away.
Just my two cents worth (or approximately 1.25p in UK money)

Will George Cloney be doing any parts?
Ok, Ok, I'm going to go quietly now....
Star Wars 9: Evil Marketing Droids Fight Back
Star Wars Two : Anakin Skywalker and the Planet of Doom
Call me a karma whore if you want, but I think it's good to see a slahdot mainstay responding to comments about him.....
And you didn't even notice the problem of "I are begging" (although that's kind of on-topic, considering the entire Jar-Jar method of "speech")
Gimp.

Just my thoughts on it, anyway...
Aliens vs. Alien
Another "sequel better than original"
The theme song for the film will be a remakes of Heart's "A Clone"
'Til now, I always got by on my clone
And now I want to be with you
How do I get you a clone?
A Clone
Ok, I feel better now.
Star Wars : Clone Wookies from the Forbidden Zone?
Star Wars : Clone Ranger
With Jar-Jar as Tonto???

Ah, OK - should have thought of that example myself. *Blush*.
Also, I noted last night that Cable/Satellite stuff doesn't appear to have Video Plus numbers - any ideas why?

Nope, they're showing the latest piece of reality TV - "When Spy Planes Go Bad"
