And in the switch yards, most of the fixed 'cabling' looks like your average round metal garden fence post. (Hmmm... with that many qualifiers, does it still constitute average?)
One factor has been that Xstrata (large mining company) has scuttled personnel and equipment from Mt Isa copper mine in Australia so much that they can't keep production up to 2004 levels. Over the past 6 years, production was supposed to double. They have moved to open cut to try get the lead! The open cut Pb mining effectively closed the underground copper mining.
By the way Mt Isa copper mine was among of the biggest in the world, and the second largest in the southern hemisphere, circa 2002. The largest was also owned by Xstrata and was situated in South America (Argentina?). In 2004, a flash flood basically washed the mine out. It had been built at the bottom of a large gully.
I am an ex-electrical apprentice of Xstrata.
Though, China, India et al ramping up demand is probably the main reason as has already been said.
Not true, before switching to Ubuntu, I changed the default setting soon after install to IE 6 on Windows XP. I'd think the simpler solution is that after having a problem once, people would set that to the default identifier. I haven't had the problem, so haven't bothered. There is a solution to the problem, why fight it?
Is it democracy when the leaders deliberately ignore the known position of the voters? This is/has occurred in Australia. Fortunately as of yet, it has not been necessarily detrimental.
It is possible they aren't playing anything ppl want. I worked out how, and have never had reason to use any form of ripping. I believe I am not alone in knowing but never using nefarious mechanisms.
I don't seem to have had the problems that others have had. However, when scrolling down the screen then back up, the float box leaves traces of the bottom of the box marking the side panel. Not a huge problem, just weird/bad design.

Not sure what you are saying...? Linux > Vista > SELinux? Or Linux > SELinux > Vista? Either way, SELinux is a subset of linux, so Vista would still only be more secure because of its obscurity.
But agreed, if you can get SELinux to be useful (I don't think it is yet intuitive, and not everyone running linux is going to go the SELinux way as there are other solutions that are 'good enough').

Okay, before this becomes a flame, I don't know if Vista actually is less secure or has less users. Just answering a troll/flamebait cos i thought at the time it was funny. Retrospect hasn't vindicated my initial intent. Just be grateful I am not basing a career on my "talents"
Amen to that! I can't see ever returning to an RPM based system, despite really enjoying Mandriva and Suse. Apt is brilliant. As nice as RPM package managers can be at times, apt has been simple and straight forward experience.
Give the linux developers the same information available to Microsoft regarding system protocols, and 6 months. Then we can truly test the different development systems. Considering a large portion of linux has been reverse engineering products deliberately obfuscated for "technical advantages", I'm very impressed with the the current capabilities of linux systems.
Please note I said achievable, not "Communism is..."
That is why your precious Linsux will always play catchup rather than beat Microsoft, because you Linsux fucktards have never been innovative, nor will you fucktards ever be innovative.
Ahh... If I'd seen that I would have realised you don't actually know anything and just repeat miscellaneous quotes you heard in 1994. Forget about looking at what is really happening in the world around you.

You mean we have to wait another 5 years for global domination?

but throwing it would increase the magnetic wobble 'loosing' data...
Education has MS Office to write emails....
mercury would work then, or lead does at about 60+ ppm

Perhaps Macs don't come with irony?

Style and class.
In Australia, married to a doctor in anesthetist. It is much less than the figures being tossed around, closer to the 40 - 60 $ mark.
Um, that would make it difficult for him to argue with you.

Bloke, it is Compiz-Fusion now!
I'm using KVM (yes I gather it is mostly Qemu) rather than Xen or VMware. Is there a compelling reason to use Xen over KVM?
