If I could steal a right to copy music, then the act of copying wouldn't be the problem - because I've got the right to copy it by virtue of having stolen that right. So, the theft of the right would be at issue. Your thinking is just flawed. The word "stealing" means "To take (the property of another) without right or permission." So clearly the people who are sharing music are not stealing anything because they are not taking anything - they're giving music to people without the right to do - no "taking" involved. And the people who are downloading music aren't taking without permission or right because the person they are taking it from is giving them his or her permission.

I disagree. The government does not exist to provide entertainment for the citizens. In my opinion, libraries are a waste of the taxpayers money. Let the citizens determine what books, movies, and video games they want and vote with their own money - not by raising taxes and buying a glut of games that I have no interest in. I am sick and tired of all this.

And you suppose that libraries provide a good service for those who can't otherwise afford such things? I call B.S. Inner-city libraries are not known for being well populated with the lower castes. Libraries are mainly used by the middle class, a class that is shrinking because of the burden of taxes. Thus, libraries are only hurting those who use them. The middle class would be in a better state IF there was no income tax and they could spend a very small percentage of their budget on only the books and media they actually wanted.

In my opinion, not only should video games not be added to a library's collection but the very notion of having libraries should be rethought.

    "Compare the time between releases."
Let's clear some things up for you.

The original Game Boy was released in the U.S. in 1991. All of the modifications to that unit [Game Boy Color, Pocket Game Boy, etc.] were not forced upgrades because they still played the same games. Your Game Boy purchased in 1991, played the same games.

Now, the GBA was released in 2001. Again, the SP is not a forced hardware upgrade because the GBA SP plays the same games as the GBA. The DS was released in late 2004. So, the time between releases is quite different than your completely anecdotal discussion. You and your various parties purchased Nintendo products at interesting times. It seems that you and your various parties are very good at buying a system a few months before something new comes out. This leads me to believe that either your perception is off on the whole matter OR you are not properly researching purchases before you make them. For instance, purchasing a GBA SP a few months before the DS is released seems a little pecuiliar. Why not wait for the DS which would play both DS games and GBA games? The DS had certainly been announced "a few months" [my, you've chosen an ambiguous way to catalog time] before the official release so there's really no room to complain about the situation.

Long story short - why don't you compare the time between releases?
