I see your point, I only care to assign CVE IDs to my discoveries because folks ask me for them. It gets annoying when I've found a vulnerability and someone is hounding me about the CVE ID so they can track it and mitre doesn't respond to my emails.
I'd be interested in loading andriod on my second pi due in late august, I hope it is out by then. The raspbain distro is very snappy on the little Pi. I'm very happy with it.
We are issuing certificates to personal devices and using SAML authentication to allow access to critical applications from the internet. We figure there will be no 'internal' network eventually everything will be done from the cloud. I can see this for sales type people who only need to work with some applications, but for those of us who own these applications it might be a bit more difficult.
It's not a conventional cypher so standard cryptanalysis won't work. It could be a rotating key depending on line number or word position where simple frequency analysis would be thrown off. You'd need more samples to look at, and try to develop a pattern.
We write out our passwords to a gpg encrypted file which each one of our group members can decrypt with their private key. This file is stored in rcs/perforce. Our perforce data is mirrored to 3 sites.
I'll have to visit this neighborhood with my crowbar and ski mask. By making a scene they drew the attention of the media, which has plastered this all over for any criminal to see. So I suspect their crime rate will go up more than if they had been quiet.
And what do you think the market being flooded with new comp sci majors will do? byebye to getting 100k a year as a sr unix admin. Hello 50k a year college grad who is just happy to have a job.
99% of what is being advertised on tv is sh*t. Why do I want to be force fed that stuff? I suspect the younger generation hasn't realized this yet. (I'm 33)
I wanted to build some robots, so I bought a book on electronics: It's by Benard Grob, I have found it to be a great book. It starts off with what electricity is, how it moves down a wire etc.. then goes into electronic components, how and why they work.
Here is one http://www.openwall.com/lists/...

Mitre either isn't responding or flat out rejecting valid requests because they've changed the scope of what they will assign numbers too.
What makes for a crappy security researcher? because the software they've found a bug in isn't on mitre's short little list of CVE approved vendors?

Was probably pencil.

Isn't it human to human now?

Generally linux users are more computer savvy and don't go opening every email attachment they get.
And those Chinese Gymnasts are 16 years old too.

My first robot is almost done, it's very simple and just reverses direction when it bumps into something.
