1) Non-US citizens doing crimes on American soil does make you subject to US laws. 2) The thing is here it looks like he's being charged with trying to ACTIVELY HACK US computers on US soil. 3) If the MSM tries to break into your house to steal your papers, then yeah, it's a crime. 4) I believe he has explicitly claimed to be a journalist.
Meh, we're required to exercise due care with documents but I don't think they can be liable for acts like this, unless they were really negligent in securing them. We're not expected to be infallible, just not too stupid or careless.
I'm not prejudging them, I'm saying that in my expert opinion it is far more likely than not that these documents will be boring and pointless, and if such is the case the law firm should not pay any ransom.
What makes right-wing nutjobs like you SO, SO mad is that deep down you know the gibberish you spout is stupid and crazy, and as you get madder you spout more of it, and you're locked into a neverending cycle of self-hatred and rage.
When you were younger, were you like "I'm going to grow up and become like one of those ranting homeless person on street corners screaming about CIA coverups"? Or did you always have these weird thoughts?
As for the statute, people miss the point when they complain about "reading intent" into it, because the operative question is whether she was "grossly negligent," and the evidence seems to suggest that no, she wasn't.
The thing is, it's not like we don't have, even now, people from the generations before and after boomers and we notice the difference. Boomers are uniquely narcissistic and greedy in a way that their parents, and their children (and grandchildren), are not.
There is a large demographic of tech utopianists who are convinced since they own guns and like go target shooting every week that they are in fact useful in a firefight. Their self-regard is largely undeserved; most are suburban kids who have never been in an actual fight.
Eh, I live in South Florida and I love it. If every several years I have to evacuate for a few days, it's worth the 73 F, breezy nights in January. Honestly, evacuations themselves are often overkill, and local governments down here I think are swinging more around to the idea that a lot of people should just stay where they are located. Your standard concrete block building can handle hurricane force winds, even at Cat 5.
So looking at his Wikipedia page, he doesn't sound like an amateur mathematician if he has a degree in computer science. Interestingly, he seems like an amateur biologist in the sense that he was self-taught and awarded a PhD based on a book he wrote based on that self-teaching.
Is it possible -- just hear me out -- that time flows linearly, that phenomena change through the time flow, and that Russia in 2012 might not have been an enemy but Russia in 2016 might have been? I know, it's crazy, I just want to play devil's advocate through my crazy theory that things change.
Cite? Immigration laws and regulations tend to be very particular about what kind of degree you need. And even STEM PhDs can be turned down if they don't have the right skillset/publication record.
That is just absolutely false. Where on earth did you get the idea that Interpol only tracks people who commit crimes in multiple countries?

I do not know who he or you are, but he is certainly right about Zenni.
Alternately, just ask the eye doctor for your prescription. You don't have to explain yourself.
Amazon needs a large, highly-educated workforce, and I'm not sure the people they need would be willing to move en masse to Amarillo, Texas.

I'm not sure how valuable 18-year old files are.

Idiot.
Know what provides more protection than hunting and privatization? Hunting and privatization, plus endangered species laws.
And it's kind of crazy how so many libertarians don't understand that some of us really aren't as obsessed with money as they are.
Civilians who mishandle confidential documents have historically not been charged, and that's been a policy since at least the Bush administration:

Typical right-wing idiocy. "Der her I don't care if I die of cancer as long as the libtards do too, der her."
You're spinning late-night freshman dorm philosophy here.

(typo, that should read I do not miss not having access)
I miss it a bit. The interface was head and shoulders above iOS or Android, and performance was amazing on low-end hardware.
I do not miss having access to 95% of the apps that I wanted.
How many coal miners though?
