    I fully agree, and having first learned to write programs on 8-bit computers, I share your sentiment, but this is still better than nothing.

    Indeed, but what it _did_ do is expose them to the idea that computers can be tools that do what we tell them to do, and not just magic black boxes for mindless content consumption. Even though 90% of the kids will completely forget about it tomorrow.

    I managed to play every single game I have available for Linux on my Wheezy desktop (around 20-30), all of them with satisfactory performance.

    Some of the blackboxes are pretty cool, if you have the time to configure them for your needs. I ran BBLean for years at work and it was miles better than default explorer.exe.
    Of course, I wouldn't recommend it to average user - you had to edit text files in order to configure it. The horror!

    Sometimes I think they're producing crap on purpose, and that "cultural sabotage" depicted in Rand's Fountainhead is already happening in America. Even the outcome seems to be the same as in the book - control of the masses brainwashed by "culture".

    Can't walk for 6 hours in age of 30? That's something quite abnormal, you should be able to pull that off if you're a normal, healthy 30-something.
