The manner in which Israel’s Mossad tricked the U.S. into attacking Libya was described in detail by former Mossad case worker Victor Ostrovsky in The Other Side of Deception, the second of two revealing books he wrote after he left Israel’s foreign intelligence service. The story began in February 1986, when Israel sent a team of navy commandos in miniature submarines into Tripoli to land and install a “Trojan,” a six-foot-long communications device, in the top floor of a five-story apartment building. The device, only seven inches in diameter, was capable of receiving messages broadcast by Mossad’s LAP (LohAma Psicologit—psychological warfare or disinformation section) on one frequency and automatically relaying the broadcasts on a different frequency used by the Libyan government.

This deception shortly led to the US bombing Libya, incidentally killing Qaddafi's adopted infant daughter.

The Frontal [German public television] report arrives at the following conclusions:
1) The lead defendant presently on trial, Yasser Chraidi, is very possibly innocent, and is being used as a scapegoat by German and American intelligence services.
2) At least one of the defendants, Musbah Eter, has been working for the CIA over many years.
3) Some of the key suspects have not appeared in court, because they are being protected by Western intelligence services.
4) At least one of those, Mohammed Amairi, is an agent of Mossad, the Israeli secret service. ....
"These secret service intrigues present a task for the Berlin court that is almost insoluble," concludes the Frontal report. "But one thing is certain, the American legend of Libyan state terrorism can no longer be maintained."

Go ask Mark Steyn, who was just tried for human rights violations by some scary Orwellian thing called the Ontario Human Rights Commission for commenting about Islam. Clearly, you cannot speak your mind freely in Canada or some "human rights" tribunal will have you in the dock.

Same thing in Finland. Don't criticize religious groups, or even offend them, and don't criticize ethnic groups, have a site linked to alleged child pr0n, try to produce scary films, or even try to criticize censorship in Finland!

None of those things could be done in the US of A. Nice try though.

Companies now hold more of an interest in the inner workings of your own body than you do, and have laid successful claim to elements of orbital mechanics.

In the second half of this year he bought 2.5 million shares in Eli Lilly, manufacturer of Prozac, and also made major investments in Merck and Pfizer, notes Information Week.

Read that last link closely. It alleges that the primary goal of the Foundation is to insure that third world companies stay as good customers to Gates' pharma companies so they don't break the world intellectual property treaties which would render BillG's pharmaceutical assets worthless (and maybe Microsoft too, if say Africa decided to legalize piracy of Windows).

The details of the Foundation's financial "grant" transactions are not available in their annual report, just the summaries. I will have to do a little more research, I've seen the whole scam laid out but I haven't been able to relocate the link.

Another approach is from some work I saw demoed at an MIT conference in Vienna. If you capture enough video of a person speaking, you can remix/rerender video of that person saying anything you want them to say. The software works at the phonetic level so you can even synthesize words that the person has never even uttered before and even make them appear to speak languages that they don't know. They had some visually convincing video showing people saying things that the researchers claimed they never said. Yes, the demo version worked with clean test video and a professional video/image analyst could probably spot a faked/remized video. But if these technology becomes good enough, I can see it making video a nontrustworthy source of data (like skillfully retouched photos).

There are valid reasons for many of these design choices. They also have unintended sde effects - some of which are surely deemed as features by "Central Services."
