I personally don't think a sucker punch is worth someone's life, but that's me.. and I'm not "from the streets". :| -

Don't like your outcome? Exhausted all your appeals? Then sue the judge! -
Re:Bend over Aussies and...I'd have moderated that one +1 Cold Hard Truth.
If there's any Australians who still think Free Trade with the US is a good thing, just ask their largest trading partner how free trade has helped with softwood lumber, hogs, wheat, or anything else for that matter.
For those unfamiliar with the process:- Blame Canada
- Impose tariff
- Ignore NAFTA rulings that don't support the tariff
- ???
- Profit

Re:That's hardly a privacy issue
Oh, fuck that. 18 months is better than this fuckwit got: Fucktard Janklow And now the shitbag is trying to get the Fed Govt. to foot the bill for his carelessness and recklessness. I mean the cunt got 12 speeding tickets in 3 years. Once he was elected Govenor, he stopped getting cited, but didn't change his driving habits. Then he gets elected to federal office and he finally kills somebody, is found guilty and the judge says "...the public is better served by Shitwit having to do 100 days in jail and hundreds of community service hours, then they would be by having the asshole chucked in a hole and locked away for the rest of his life."

Google bar missing some popups
I've noticed the Googlebar has be allowing some popups through lately. I wonder what the new technique is. In my own experiments, I've found I could launch unwanted popups with an onMouseOver() method in the [body] tag. That tricked Mozilla and the Google bar.
Will the political campaigns be that mischievous? Republicans might, because apparently they don't understand the internet. Democrats won't be so dumb. The primaries were an excellent crash course in internet fund raising, and they are way ahead of the game.

Reports of its demise have been....
Premature at best.
It's a real shame, the loss the Japan lab, but I can't help but think that the lab being built in Western South Dakota will be even more important. I cannot find a decent date on completion, but this page explains a newer, better neutrino detection lab being constructed right now.
The location even better (8,000 feet deep, insulated from nearly every form of interference) and the site has fanstastic support from the state and federal government. The Japan lab isn't the only one in existance -- there are others in Ontario and the South Dakota lab has had facilities in operation since 1967.
The articles, both the Slashdot commentary and the NYTimes article, predict a savage demise. But other labs, especially the South Dakota lab, offer a huge potential to pickup the slack.
