Re:But don't worry
And yet, we have this story from just a few months ago: https://www.ageofautism.com/20... Do vaccines work? Yes. Are they safe? For most, yes. However, some people have had adverse reactions, including death, after a vaccine shot: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/b... Why is it assumed that vaccines are 100% safe for everyone? I can eat a bag of peanuts, but some people can die from just a trace of peanut. Why wouldn't vaccines be the same? Also, vaccines contain some toxic chemicals. I know the levels in an individual vaccine shot should be safe, but how about when a doctor administers multiple vaccines at once? Here's a list of vaccine ingredients: https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/p... Then we have stories like this: https://www.news-medical.net/n...

Re: Parents should be liable
I'm sorry for you and your family. autism is everywhere now. in the last 20 years it's gone from one in hundred thousand to one in fifty. Everybody, myself included, either has asd, has a relative with it, or knows someone with it. They like to say it's genetic, but it's not. It didn't exist in previous generations, and it does not exist presently in countries without pediatric vaccinations.
in the last year a CDC whistleblower has come forward, and is testifying before congress. you must have heard of him. Yes, vaccines cause autism. The CDC said so. Not to mention the vaccine court in the US, and a court in italy, etc, etc. You don't have to look hard to find well referenced articles about this. Follow the links and you'll find Dr Thompson's letter of confession, and tapes of him discussing what exactly the CDC has done.
here's a link for the CDC whistleblower. Dr. William Thompson
also, Dr. William Thompson.
the simpsonwood tapes have been out for years, where big-pharma and the cdc plotted out how to hide the autism connection. The corrupt and venal CDC not only sat on this info for years, but invested your tax dollars in every scheme possible to hide and obfuscate this truth.
it should be simple. mercury is a neurotoxin. we know this. if the vaccine vial falls on the floor and breaks, you bring in the hazmat suits. inject it into small babies - it will damage them, no doubt about it. it's mercury - what do you expect? now, as to whether you diagnose it as autism or minimata disease, that would be a different matter. that's a regulatory capture issue.

Re:Could it be food?
It's not food.
It's antibiotics. Oral antibiotics, to be more specific. We are selecting for the very bacteria in our guts that are causing autism. That's why before antibiotics were available, there was no autism.
This isn't about "better diagnosis". This is about real problem that is so in the open we don't see it. CDC and most of medicine does not give a crap (no put intended) about gut ecosystem. It is "icky". It "smells". Just look at C. Diff. and how people continue to die a terrible death despite a near 100% cure available - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C...
http://www.prevent-autism.org/...
Plenty of "real" research to back this by now, yet it continues not to be looked at by most researchers. Quite a shame. Maybe it will be like with stomach ulcers in 1970s - it's caused by "acid"! People bled out and had their stomachs removed because the medical community didn't believe that bacteria lived in one's stomach!
Today we continue to live in blissful ignorance that gut bacteria "balances itself". That we can't "screw it up". Well, we did and autism is a result in some cases. The very bacteria that makes the toxin that floods the brain causing "autism symptoms" is the one that is not affected by antibiotics much
;)So, stop giving kids oral antibiotics (especially under 5). If they really need antibiotics, get an injection. It may be little more inconvenient but it will not shit up your kids life.

Re:Sinister?
I gave a method of finding alternative statistics which you choose to ignore.
OK, I'll bite. You referenced the CDC and NIH and I pointed out that their numbers totally reject your numbers. Now you're not happy that I'm using the CDC and NIH and failing to use your unnamed alternative knowledge sources that are, like, totally better than the CDC and NIH that you referenced earlier. OK. Let's do it.
Should we just google 'gardasil vaccine injury' and see what we get?
First link is something pointing out that Gardasil is safe by any reasonable measure. Probably not a kosher source of alternative knowledge from your perspective, so I'll skip those. Moving on.
There's this, which has numbers but no references. Here's one with references, so that's a good start. 48 deaths! Wow! Wait, the reference is just to VAERS, which we talked about earlier. Just the VAERS root site, not even the actual document. Well, let's try again.
Lots more stuff, just going back to VAERS. Did I mention that the VAERS analysis has been done to death? Lots of web sites with personal anecdotes (probably also reported to VAERS, so thank goodness that's covered). Some (most, maybe) of those may be very true. But again, we're talking about roughly 60,000,000 doses, and we're not accumulating anything like a significant probability of serious reaction. Which is why we use statistics. Like so:
National Geographic gives the odds of being hit by lightning in any given year as 1 in 700,000. That means that we'd expect 85 of those women to be struck this year. If they all reported "hit by lightning" to VAERS, "hit by lightning" would surpass a bunch of the other things they've reported as "side effects" that people are panicking about.Followed by more attempted ad hominem and riducule.
All to defend you being a liar...That's a gorgeous juxtaposition. Dude, I'm attacking your data, not you. If you want to reduce the amount of damage, bring better data next time.

Re:Amazing!
http://www.cbc.ca/natureofthings/episode/autism-enigma.html
Probably blocked outside of Canada, but you can probably get the video elsewhere.
Basically, oral antibiotics in young kids end up screwing up their gut bacteria balance, permanently. The bacteria that end up more dominant end up causing autism symptoms.
First research on this is over 10 years old. Now some groups are starting to looking at it once more, but nothing was done in those 10 years. So why no one noticed it? Kind of reminds me of why the link between bacteria and ulcers was deemed impossible for years.

Re:why did BMJ pay Brian Deer to attack Wakefield
why did the BMJ pay Brian Deer to attack Wakefield
Points out that this is nothing new (true, but not widely known which is a good reason for a popularising item). And states "I strongly suspect that if there was enough evidence to make the fraud accusations stick that it would have been brought up at the GMC hearing" -- but as far as I can see that wasn't the subject of the GMC hearing, which was about Wakefield's unauthorised medical experimentation on infants..
Doesn't seem to understand how freelancers can get paid if they are not on the staff.
Brian Deer’s Conflict of Interests
Claims that Deer had a conflict of interest and tha the BMJ didn't do proper checking of that, but doesn't say what the conflict of interest was or point to any evidence.
Dr Wakefield's Submission to the UK Press Complaints Commission
Wakefield's complain to the Press Complaints Commision, which the PCC suspended pending the GMC hearing and which Wakefield did not pursue after the GMC struck him off the medical register.
Andrew, is that you?

Re:Heh
...batshit-insane people...
Like Scott Shoemaker http://www.ageofautism.com/2007/07/chelation-and-t.html. I happen to know Scott and Josh. His story is anecdotal, I admit. But the effect of treatment on his son is a matter of fact, not up for interpretation. I saw a boy who spun in circles and rolled his eyes constantly. Who could not talk to his parents and was afraid of his little sister. After his treatment, he was (and still is) quite normal. How did Josh get Autism? I don't know. Did he have Autism? Don't know that either. Did he have heavy metal poisoning? If you look up the symptoms you'll see they are quite similar. I know this is unpopular among the slashdot crowd, but it is an accurate accounting of a real life incident.

Scientifically, yes
