Re:You know
C'mon, you know you love the beardy guy!
Seriously though, i think Alan is more conservative when it comes to thinkering with the kernel, as opposed to Linus, which loves to play with his baby. They both balance out fine, and the result is great. -
Here is a clue
Does anyone know what platform their system was based on?
This site has a clue: check the link about Alan Cox's Windows 2000 snapshot capabilities. ;-) -
Alan Cox can!
Coding 80 hours is beyond most humans, but I am sure Alan Cox is an exception, especially when he is in the dark!
;-) -
Being on a chip
Wonder if he also talked about being on a chip.

Snapshots
Putting Alan Cox on a Chip has produced a snapshot related to this story.

No, he's justs getting his MBA
A(lan) Cox may be slow responding to email due to the fact that he is busy getting his MBA. I think the term is near completion, so he may be writing papers and whatnot. In the mean time you may wish to try this processor.

Re:That would be Linux.

Re:VAX is definitely the bestThe best architecture is still VAX. Clearly string operations at the processor levels is what any procesor needs to be the best and fastest
Perhaps we need to embed Perl on this Chip. That would surly get the best performance... "imagine a"... oh never mind

Re:best microprocessor ?
The best microprocessor, quite obviously is alancoxonachip.
It's probably his favourite as well. -
Alan Cox on a Chip
Don't forget that we have "Alan Cox on a Chip", so there is no need to worry about losing our operating system developers! And now that the FDA Approves Implantable Microchips, how long must we wait before we can all have Alan Cox chip implants?

Alan Cox on a chip..
Why bother interviewing the real Alan Cox when this chip is out there.

Some Vacation
Alan Cox seems to be the source of some 25% of the fixes. If that's taking it easy, than I'm a 17 tongued goat.
Yeah yeah, parts of it are merges of old fixes, but even with that in consideration, he is definitely superhuman
my thanks
The new kernel maintainer is doing a great job too. I can't believe he stepped in and had so much momentum immediately! Rather amazing. He's definitely living up to the very high expectations
thanks.

Re:Merging Alan
Now we can use the new Linux kernel on Alan Cox on-a-Chip!

Re:great
I don't know about Linus, but here's Alan Cox on a Chip.
