My comments on Slashdot reflect myself as a person. I have no qualms about that association whatsoever.

What I choose to post on Slashdot may reflect on my concern for privacy. My registration here as a user does not.

Were Slashdot slightly more edgy, like say (nsfw) alt.com, I probably wouldn't use my real name.

Nah this will work, for Myspace.com, it's just that all of the sweet little urchins will move to Alt.com instead.

  Seriously I think scanning the servers for porn will hurt them, a large minority of people use myspace as a hookup site or for an exhibitionist/voyeur get together site and they will be the ones moving to someplace more appropriate, this could be an income oppertunity for someone. From what I'm hearing in radio ads, match.com is trying to be more "facebook-ish" or "myspace-ish". This strongly hints that there is a market out there for a site like that.

A man that is intelligent and powerful and literally your owner might appeal to certain types of women. Likewise I doubt any man alive has never dreamed of having a lustful and willing slave girl. Deny it if you want but that relationship is a deep part of human tradition and I doubt it's yet been bred out yet by our 'civilized' behavior.

Civilization is not about denying your instincts. It's about fulfilling your fantasies in a civilized manner. If Jefferson-style sex is what turns you on, just post a personal ad like "An intelligent and powerful man seeks a lustful and willing slave girl" on an appropriate newsgroup, website or magazine. Or maybe consider suggesting some kinky foreplay to your girlfriend. You don't really need to participate in a real misery of an entire race or nation just to get laid.

Usernames and passwords to web sites can be embedded into the URL, and encrypted. This still allows anybody who grabs the URL to get onto a 'secured' page on said website. The BDSM Web Site alt.com uses such a mechanism, and is full of people with all sorts of kinky interests, including 'vulnerable' sexual submissives. The alt.com chatroom uses URL-based 'passwords.' For whatever reason they prefer that to a cookie-based security scheme.

My wife wants that regularly.
