Lets balance this out...
This is nothing but propaganda. Let us not forget "climategate". The
/. audience is perfectly capable of getting those files and reading the source code - pay attention to the comments. Climate scientists make a mockery of the scientific process and it is spectacularly well funded by the most powerful people on the planet. It is well worth reading The Club of Rome's "The First Global Revolution" especially the part entitled "The Common Enemy of Humanity is Man" (page 85). It should be a warning sign when the media presents the science as settled - I think we all know that is never true and is a statement aimed at naive people. The endgame for this nonsense are carbon taxes that will be used to radically change the way we live. If you would like to know what these people are after read Agenda 21. You can read a synopsis of that here.
We need to stop this now.

Re:Standards of democracy?
This is the outcome of a 5 min google search:
UN http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A60143-2004Jul18.html
OSCE http://www.americanpolicy.org/un/election.htm
General (for links, not opinion) http://www.danielpipes.org/blog/2004/08/foreigners-monitor-us-elections.htmlProbably every human rights organization (even some within the US) felt the urge to monitor, please go on searching, but take off these glasses you wear.
I'm sure your government told you its only those evil communists who distrust the great americans people...

Re:ARGH!ok, then this one or this one.
And you can look at this one. If you have a knee-jerk reaction to pass off any evidence that is contrary to your own beliefs, calling anyone that disagrees with your view an industry shill, then nothing I say is going to make a difference. I think it's sad that environmentalism has become a religion, instead of a science.
I believe that environmentalism is a good thing, we shouldn't pollute and destroy the environment. However, what most environmentalists today suggest is in essence communism, they are completely anti-capitalist.

Re:It's Global Warming! The American Policy Center seems to support what I know for a fact, and backs it up with scientific data.
Then there is this article, or this one...
Now this has nothing to do with left wing/right wing anything, it's about hard science. Something that you believe in that is not supported by facts is essentially a religion.

Just my experience..
This Summer I went to a little conference regarding this topic, hold by some Italian scientists (don't ask me the names, I don't remember them).. I'm not able to summarize the whole discussion in English, but the conclusion was something like this: Man is just just a little responsible about global warning; the big thing is that Earth has got it's own "big change of seasons" (i.e. a change every 300000 years) in which we have a succession of "glacial eras" and "non glacial eras". Hope it was clear enough.. A rapid Google search gives me this results: http://www.americanpolicy.org/un/thereisnoglobal.
