He seems to be saying that everything will be on the person's computer. He doesn't say where the lyrics are coming from. Perhaps the user is to cut and paste them from online. I don't see how this will be much of an improvement on either Googling for lyrics, or using local search on text files on your hard drive.

However, http://www.animelyrics.com/ is one database of lyrics that isn't getting sued, like most things anime.

Anime makers seem to not feel the need to complain like the the MPAA and RIAA despite:

What do we need MPAA and RIAA and their supporters for again?

I am a 29 year old male. Rhapsody is a great game and anyone who thinks that it is a game about singing fairies made for 12 year old girls needs some serious therapy. Unfortunately the entire "theraputic community" is in need of some serious therapy.

There are a great many people out there unfortunately that can't stand even the mere existence of lyrics that dare to put the singer above gods, and would have anything to do with the devil and if you were to tell them that the devil is your slave would tell you that it's actually the other way around.

It is just me or did the soundtrack seem, well, japanese?

The song used is the movie is "Let Me Be With You" and according to some lyrics I found, the artist is ROUND TABLE featuring Nino. The song was used as the title theme to the anime series Chobits.

The series was recently released on DVD in North America and seems to have a sold fan following. Although I have to admit, the song is vastly out of place in a Halo video. I've watched the fan subs and a song whose refrain made me cry in the last episode seems like blasphemy in this context. Why couldn't they have done like every other demo video and choose generic metal like that Drowning Pool song "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor"?

If aliens exist and perfected something similar to cryo-freeze, and had extremely long lifespans to boot, I'm sure nearly all of them that fit into that category would eventually hit Earth on their tour of the Universe.

Sweet! I can use it to translate my anime (no self-respecting nerd would even consider watching the dub!) and Japanese pop music!

Assuming it translates smarter than Babelfish and some of the crazy entries at Animelyrics, this would be an excellent device indeedy. Do you suppose it would outputs only in Romajii, though? What about katakana, hiragana and kanji? Nevermind, authenticity isn't anywhere near as important as Pocky, DiGi Charat and Hapatai.
