    When a website wants you to go through a bunch of hoops like WGA to download a file there's often a very simple way around that. You can probably find the URL on FileMirrors. If it's something popular like an IE beta it'll probably be on the front page so you won't even have to search. Oh, and here's a link to IE7BETA3-WindowsXP-x86-enu.exe.

    Finding a copy is not hard.

    Interestingly though, the copy I downloaded is digitally signed by MS with a date of the 27th July 2005.

    Which is why I'm glad I still have a copy of KazaaLite. Sure, it's been shut down but you can still download the client via FileMirrors.com, and it doesn't have any of spyware/malware shit.

    Morpheus was great before it got kicked off FastTrack, then it changed and sucked. Just because it's back on FastTrack doesn't mean it sucks any less.

    FileMirrors is a great substitute for google in this case. It gets updated automatically by people downloading things with GetRight (which I also recommend).

    I suggest searching for and wolf_et_test.exe at FileMirrors. There were 9 mirrors that avoided FilePlanet hell when I looked.

    Why let some algorithm trawl around your network when you can let some human dweeb do it for you. The problem with robots - or computers in general, is that they can be fooled into thinking something is something else.

    Personally I use Filemirrors. It shows what people are really downloading.
