Yeah, I'm 23 and I remember getting my first 1GB drive when I was a kid and laughing evily at how many games that new drive would hold. I never thought I would need anything more. Now, I have one 250GB drive, two 120GB drives, and several 80GB drives completely full. I'm saving up for a 2TB NAS device.:-P
I use it all the time. It's harmless, and a good piece of software to keep on your thumbdrive. Comes in handy if you're going to reformat and can't find the original license. Just run this lil gem, then write it down, and there you go. There are perfect, legitimate uses for this jellybean.
They are *trying* to make it a portable drive. It's just only in Japan right now, and a little on the expensive side. However, if the location and price change, this could be pretty awesome. Right now it's cheaper to get a MZ-NH600D off Ebay for around $60, which is what I did. I use it to archive my pictures and important documents. Afterall, magneto-optical disks have an archival life of around 50 years. Disks are pretty cheap, too.
I don't use it for music. I tried, and although I love the sound (I've always loved the sound from my Sony players over the years), I just can't get over the software. SonicStage should die. It should be drag and drop, with no drivers (other than the generic storage driver) or software. If that ever happens, Sony just might start making a profit off these things.
Ps. The MZ-NH600D and the PIT-IN drive (and other Hi-MD players) don't need a driver for removable storage, at least. So that's exactly how I use it.
Stan: But Chef, how old should you be before you're ready for sex? Chef: Well children, the correct age to start having sex is.... seventeen Kyle's Mom: Seventeen and in love, right? Chef: No, just seventeen. Kyle's Dad: But what if you're not ready at seventeen? Chef: At seventeen, you're ready.
This is what I'm doing right now for my senior project at my college. I got myself a FREE copy of VB.NET Express and 20+ FREE training videos. It's only for a limited time though. MS will eventually start charging about $50 for an Express license. You can also find C#, C++, J#, Web Developer, and SQL Server for free. Just click the appropriate links on the left of either of the two links mentioned above.
Uh, as long as I've had Gmail (a few months since it came out), I have known about this, and it was said to be a FEATURE. You want to know how? Well, I created a filter that sends all email TO: firstlast@gmail.com to a spam label, and this way only people who email first.last@gmail.com (notice the period) will go to my inbox. It's a feature, much like the firstlast+tag@gmail.com. Some sites don't accept the +tag part though. So, in other words, sign up to websites that may spam you by using firstlast@gmail.com and it will be filtered to a spam label (if you set it up that way) but tell your friends your address is first.last@gmail.com. You could also do it vice-versa. Accept email only as firstlast@gmail.com but if an address has first.last@gmail.com, it is then marked as spam.
If they "fix" this, I will be quite upset. I've been using it extensively.

I do. Charleston. I happen to live there, you insensitive clod!:-P

A-men to that. I've almost stopped using SpyBot altogether and just rely on Symantec. I hate their consumer products, but their business products are some of the best.
They're very quick to create virus fixes for submissions as well. Just the other day I received yet another AIM virus, and I downloaded it with Firefox, quarantined it, and submitted it. Then in three measily minutes, Symantec had already emailed me back with a fix and a link to their latest RapidRelease definitions which would now detect the virus. Three minutes. Simply amazing!
A-men, brother. I miss the good old hedgehog days... =\
I still have my Game Gear, Genesis, 32X, and SEGA-CD. And I still love my Dreamcast. Only console I didn't manage to get was a Saturn. But you can bet that I had every single Sonic game available for the others;)

Gaim does invisible just fine. It's just a little cumbersome. Click Away: : Invisible (or Hidden in MSN's case).
Since not all clients supported invisible for awhile, Gaim didn't have a "set all invisble". Now they all support it, but that feature is still lacking =\
I believe if you select "remove ads" in AdBlock preferences, it does not download the ads whatsoever. So a site can see that you've loaded their index.htm but not any of their advertisements. If you select "hide ads" it *does* download them, it just doesn't show them.
I think that's how it works anyway, though IANAABD (I am not an AdBlock developer)...;)
I'd accept DRM in rentals, such as movies - but I will not accept it in anything I bought for keeps (eg. movie rentals vs. buying music).

If the pics are attached as simple files, it will forward them - but those pesky Outlook users that have the pics showing within the message always mess it up for us Gmail users lol.

Umm, ever since I got my account over a year ago, if you click the "forward" link (instead of reply), then it will have the attachment along with a check mark box that you can select/deselect individual attachments from the old email.

Wonder how long until they block Firefox altogether?
A bit off-subject, but where did you get it from? Is it a Win32 version? I can't quite get it to work with HTTPS.
Thanks,

You guys should try Symantec AntiVirus Corporate 10 Client.
Reminds me of the old days. Nice, clean, simple GUI. Never had a blue screen with it. Good detection rates. Does fairly good job on spyware as well.
But I completely agree with you concerning their consumer line of products. The business products are way better.
