Re:yeah well
An H2 commands plenty of respect on the road (and off the road).
I'm not sure respect is the word you're looking for.

think sawgrass
You won't be able to cut it down fast enough, even with your stupid hummer. The great plains could be replanted with native vegetation and we would all be better off.

Re:Too bad
Of course, this sort of cosmetic product differentiation works best when your target demographic is a group of status-conscious nescient twits, like, say, oh, U.S. SUV buyers.
I understand the Lincoln Navigator is just a Ford Explorer with a different grill and panels (and a little sound insulation) marked up ten grand or so. And the Hummer H2 is merely a Chevy Tahoe with a body made to look like a Hummvee. -
Poor choice of name
The name "H2" definitely doesn't scream "efficient" to a lot of people. In fact, another product called "H2", a gas-guzzling SUV designed as a military-style façade on a Chevy Tahoe engine, has shown itself to be worthy of the F-bomb: Fsck you and the Hummer you rode in on.

Re:They are also monitoring your driving.
You got it - it basically means that Chevy is selling people a Tahoe or Colorado with square body panels and fake lift hooks for a 20% price premium. This tells you about how many brain cells are posessed by H2/H3 owners like the OP.

Re:"do no evil" from a company that patents algori
It's good for everyone if money is spent rather than sat upon.
That all depends on the state of the economy. It's not good for everyone if you're in demand driven inflation. Then you want everyone to save and not spend.
But given the fact that Americans really enjoy their right to consume I doubt you could steer many towards not consuming. -
My fave didn't make it
fuh2.
It's not mysteriously dark, so that couldn't have been the other site.

Re:So....
It may not take all sorts but there certainly are all sorts.
But we can't really expect H2-driving pricks to own up to the damage they do to the environment. They're too busy comsuming, buying shit they don't need and complaining about being fat. When it comes to doing anything about it, change is too difficult for this instant gratification society. -
Re:WTF?!?
> But there is NO GOOD REASON for hummers.
Exactly! That's why I say Fuck You And Your H2. -
Re:How can you compare the twoSolar powered cars are not designed for the streets and really should not be on them.
And hummers were?
Not that its realy the issue, as stated before a small solar car would loose to just about anything. It is interesting to note though that the conversation has evolved to compare the 2 most extreme cases. Hummers get an average of 10 miles to a galon, are the largest vehicle on the road (not countinig comercial or construction vehicles) and were specificly designed for rugged off-road use. Solar cars on the other hand, are designed to fight energy and polution problems. As research continues and more effecient designs emerge it will not be long before they are available to the public. Call it flame bait, and off topic, but truly the solar car has more right to the road then the hummer.

Re:funny slashbots
Wah wah.
There's green and there's green.
If everyone walks we wouldn't need to spend energy on forging steel, etc.
However those bikes are certainly greener than almost everything out there. For instance the H2s.

Re:Ladies and gentlemen....
This is just the game indstry using the same marketing scum tactics that work in other industries: if you have a brand name then capitalize on it.
For example, the GM "Hummer H2" or the Dodge truck "Hemi" engines have little if anything to do with what they are named after. It is just the manufacturer trying to cash in on brand populatrity.
Not that I don't agree with you: I loved the N64 Goldeneye and I hope whomever thought of this marketing tactic at EA rots in hell.

Re:The SUV
Do the "civilian" hummers and the H2 fall into that catagory?
