No mention of PS2 emulators that work? Even PSX?
Yes, the PS1 has a GREAT, NES emulator.. and it does run at full speed. http://imbnes.gamebase.ca/ Not to mention the PS2 has many emulators on it already.. Snes-Station (Super Nintendo) and PGEN (Sega Genesis) both work well, with some minor compatibility issues. PSMS (Sega Master System) also works. snes-station.gamebase.ca psms.gamebase.ca www.gamebase.ca/pgen If you want a full detailed list, go to www.zophar.net

Re:PS3 for $399
Even funnier is playing SNES games on the PS2. Though it still leaves a lot to be desired (on sound, specially), and sadly is pretty much dead right now. I get a bitter taste in my mouth seeing a lot of emulators popping out for the PSP... is the PS2 so much of a hassle to program for?

I'm waiting on...
... an update to SNES-Station. Lord knows I can't get the current version to even boot at this point...
A PS2 port of It Might Be NES, one that would let me run it off the hard drive, would also be nice. -

imbNES
As far as eumlation goes, I just make an ISO with imbNES and play it on my modded PSX. This way, I have every NES rom I could ever hope for on one CD. All ready to be played on my trusty Playstation.

Re:Why didn't they
"The PS1 apparently isn't powerful enough to do the audio emulation,"
Bullshit -
Re:The next time you pooh-pooh consoles...
It might be because my NES cartridges won't fit inside the PS2 slot tray. I'm not sure...
Yes, they do. -
Not to be confused...
... with Pgen the Genesis emulator for PS2.
