Re:Duopoly
The GAMEPARK GP32. You too can share all sorts of homebrew crap with a tiny community of owners who paid nearly as much for a GP32 as the PSP costs.

Re:Hardest Decision Ever...
I think they fell off the face of the earth again. Maybe you can find one on that moon trip. But, it seems like GP32s are MIA http://www.gamepark.co.kr/

Get a Gamepark32 (GP32) insteadFor $159, get a GP32 instead. It's $159 at Red Octane ( direct link to RO GP32 page )
It does everything the ZVUE does and LOTS more and it has a huge developer following and TONS of apps you can DL for free like console/arcade emulators, MP3 players, PIMs, etc. ) Brian

Re:Sure...
Sounds like you need a GP32.. Much coolness - open source devkit, runs software off flash cards, etc, etc.. there's loads of emulators and stuff for it, ports of Doom, Heretic, MP3/OGG players, even a DivX player.
IMO it whoops the gameboy, and it has a much higher hackish value (yes, I know about the flash linker, etc, for the GBA/SP, but still.. the GP32 is designed for that kind of stuff from the outset) -
English version of the web site

Re:Always beautiful translated manual copy
This needs to be submitted to Engrish.com.
The quote in question can be found at http://www.gamepark.co.kr/tmp_english/GP32/func.as p
It definately looks like a super happy mega game playing type device to me. -
Re:GBAThe GBA is what needs wireless gaming
Then check out GP32 ("GamePark 32"), which IMHO is the GBA done right. It supports RF wireless gaming and has a bunch of other cool features that make it a way more desirable handheld console than the GBA.
On the flip side, it costs more than twice as much (~USD 160) and has far fewer games (almost all in Korean!).
You can buy one for yourself at Lik-Sang.

OT: GP32, poor mans iPAQ?
Has anybody looked much at the Game Park 32? There have been a couple of mentions of it here.
Imagine a cross between the GBA and the iPAQ, kind of. The form factor is large GBA, the screen is bigger (with more colors) than an iPAQ, it uses SMC cards, has a USB port, a cell phone type expansion port for RF networking and stereo speakers.
Ports of Doom, Descent, Wolfenstein, Emulators for GBC, GBA (possible), SMS and SNES are all working or in progress. Since gcc for the GP32 is out, MAME, 2600 and more ports and emulators should be out soon.
The current list is about $160USB.
