How many of those particles should we find, as a percentage, of any given biological mass? 1%? .0001%? Does that account for the quantities of He found accompanying natural petroleum deposits?

Well, even for economically viable fields, the evidence is quite clear that natural petroleum is of abiotic origin:

Taking just one example from the line of argument, the discovery of biological remnants in oil deposits is used as an assertion that the oil itself is of biotic origin. But if, in fact, the "unconverted" remnants (be they spores, leaves, bones) are such proof, by what mechanism did they avoid conversion? One would expect that if they were subjected to the same pressures and temperatures, they'd be converted as well.

The alternative explanation is that they are contaminants, not markers of origin.

Seriously, can you find me a single laboratory experiment that was able to apply pressure and temperature to a dead animal, and create petroleum?

Just how much science is bunk, anyway?

Most of astrophysics and climate science, about half of physics, and a small part of chemistry is bunk. Biology is not so much bunk as well as very incomplete.

How do you define the threshold of "most" science?

Science is being practiced within the interpretative context of accepted theories. When such a theory has been falsified, the whole edifice of scientific endeavor built on top of it should be discarded. I am basically looking at what fraction of a particular scientific field is built on top of falsified theory and thereby judge whether it is somewhat or mostly bunk.

What exactly is in the set of ideas you're labeling "science"?

In principle, I view science as the collection of knowledge derived using the scientific method. Science in the Popperian sense, that is. However, in my post I was referring to science as the practice that has emerged: a sadly human endeavor influenced by agendas, funding, strife, and belief that even so poses as the ultimate authority on truth because of its supposed founding in the scientific method.

Since you "know of many clear and unambiguous experimental and observational falsifications of sacred theories and models", please list them or provide links.

You are missing the point. Yes, energy currently is cheap only in a few places such as Saudi Arabia. But energy should and could be cheap, almost free even, everywhere. The reason that is not is because of artificially induced scarcity.

A bold claim, I know, so let me substantiate it. Oil is the most glaringly obvious example of how energy is being kept scarce. Here is some fun reading you can do: what oil really is, oodles of oil in Prudhoe Bay, ditto for the Bakken Formation, Cuba, and in several other places. Not very surprising given the true oil genesis mechanism.

Of course, there are some intrinsic costs associated with oil: you need to pump it and transport it. So how can energy be almost free? Well, there are at least a dozen implemented and reproduced means to produce energy that go beyond currently accepted physical science. It is too broad a topic to address here, and it is subject to much disinformation, bullshit, and suppression. If you care to dive into it, Google "Free Energy" and click away. Good luck separating the truth from the lies.

Biogenic assumes that living things die, are deeply buried in the crust, rot, and in so doing create various hydrocarbons. Abiogenic assumes that primordial material from the creation of the planet are cooked and rise into the crust. This theory posits that biological microfossils found in petroleum are leeched from the crust by the flow, rather than being one of the byproducts of biogenic rot.

Kooks like J. F. Kenney grasp at old research by a few Soviet geologist to claim that abiogenic reserves are being constantly replenished more quickly than even our current rate of extraction(1).

The vast majority of geologists would say that while research confirms that abiogenic formation of gaseous alkanes can take place in the Earth's crust, a comparison with the isotopic signatures of economically important gas reservoirs around the world suggests that abiogenic production is not a globally significant source of hydrocarbons (2).

This might have implications for abiotic oil research.

If microbes can produce proto-rocket fuel, is it such a stretch to believe they can create crude oil as well?
