Re:Contradict a Theory?
First, the micro-macro distinction is false. There is evolution. That's it. Distinctions of scale are irrelevant.
Second, speciation (one of the predictions alluded to) has been observed in, amongst other things, mice on an island--one of the classic examples of speciation by population separation.
It is apparent that your knowledge of evolution is severely outdated. Please read up on research from this century before trying to make any further arguments. -
Re:Mercury poisoning
Actually, it's most likely related to DRD4 polymorphism. It could well have been an evolutionary advantage in a different culture.

Re:religion
1) I am not aware of any known observations of macroevolution (new species created via mutation).
Well then you might learn something today. The mice of Madeira:

And this is 7 years old now, so it does seem your facts may not be up to date.
2) To date, no direct ancestral chains have been established. That is, where one species can be definitively proven to have descended from another.
You mean like Hyracotherium, which evolved into modern horses and all the documented transitory species in between them?
If you need living examples and a DNA chain to follow, the mice above work as an example here as well.
Please do not let this color your opinion of the evidence for the creationist position.
What evidence would this be? I have never seen any. Only religious rhetoric. Surely you're not talking about scripture? -
Now don't everybody answer all at once!

It depends on your diet
Unfortunately, caloric restriction only raises the life expectancy of rodents in the laboratory, not when exposed to natural conditions. While it reduces risk of cancer, it also drastically reduces the effectiveness of the immune system at fighting off infection (and the resulting stresses which, in turn, re-raise the cancer risk.)
This has been known for decades by those educated in food & nutrition science. Unfortunately, the news has apparently not spread widely in other fields.
It all depends how you do it:

I am following a lakto-ovo vegetarian lifestyle myself, and can't really say that I'm missing flesh at all. Combine it with drinking lots of water, and your body will become VERY healthy. You will notice the difference within weeks.
However, key to a good diet is enough proteins. Too many young girls start eating only pizza, salads, pasta, etc. and get malnutrition as a result from going "veggie". A veggie-diet without enough proteins and variation is no veggie-diet in my book. Correct veggie recepees have been used for thousands of years in the East, based on the Vedic Science of Ayur-veda (knowledge about life).
Btw, what is the point of extending your lifetime, if you're miserable? Quality time, living here and now, is much more important than the length of your life - which is only fear of something so natural as death. -
Re:And evolution is?
Or (a lot) less. The Amoeba dubia, a single-celled organism, has the largest known genome, at 670,000,000,000 base pairs. To contrast, humans have a mere 2,900,000,000.

Re:Forced?
it's highly possible that the number of eggs a woman has is not finite at all, but rather new egg cells can be produced well into adulthood.

Thousands of degrees? Try ~130 degrees C.

Protects esophagus, harms stomach
One of the more interesting items about this bug is that while it appears to cause stomach cancer, it also seems to protect against esophageal cancer:
http://www.genomenewsnetwork.org/articles/04_03/py lori.shtml
It also seems to have some sort of effect on reducing acid reflux. Scientific American had a great article about a year ago or so about this bug and how it works. Very interesting reading. -
Re:Soylent Green is DOGGGGGGGGGG
Except dogs are more like humans than other animals like chickens. In my mind, eating a chicken is better because it is further from cannibalism. I wouldn't eat any apes or gorillas either.

Re:Trivial solution ...
I rembered the story about the boy shot through the heart with a nail gun. His doctors tried injecting bone marrow cells. Maybe it helped; maybe it did not. See old stories from CBS, Heart Center Online and CNN.
This story discusses the controversy surrounding heart stem cells and whether bone marrow cells can differentiate into heart muscle. AFAIK (not far), you are right about identifying a true stem cell for heart muscle. -
Re:Flaw to the idea
A study which was in the press earlier this year suggests that the 'finite eggs in ovaries' orthodoxy might be incorrect.... First relevant google result was this.
If we're effectively immortal, though cripples, we've still got a fair bit of time to figure out solutions to those other issues as we go along.
