Re:Already done at Xerox PARC
Forget Xerox PARC, it's been done by Monty Python. I'd like to see that in court. "Submitted for prior art regarding optical data transmission: The Semaphore Version of 'Wuthering Heights' and 'Julius Caesar' on an Aldis Lamp..."

ob python: "Blackmail"
Follow a bunch of people with the best technology you can put your hands on, WITHOUT them knowing or consenting.
That sounds like the Monty Python sketch called "Blackmail" ....
But right now, yes everyone is the moment you've all been waiting for; it's time for our 'Stop the Film' spots! As you know, the rules are very simple. We have taken a film which contains compromising scenes and unpleasant details which could wreck a man's career. (gasp) But, the victim may 'phone me at any moment, and stop the film. But remember the money increases as the film goes on, so,.... the longer you leave it, the more you have to pay! Tonight, 'Stop the Film' visits the little Thames-side village of Thames Ditton.

Well, here we go, here we go now, let's see...where's our man. Oh yes, there he is behind the tree now.... Mm, boy, this is fun, this is good fun.... He looks respectable, so we should be in for some real...real shucks here.... A member of the government, could be a brain surgeon, they're the worst.... WHOW! Look at the *size* of that.....briefcase. Aah, yes, he's, he's up to the door, rung the doorbell now.... O-oh, who's the little number with the nightie and the whip, eh? Heh-heh. Doesn't look like his mother.... -
Double VisionThat's a really great map, but it makes me wonder what the other peak is doing. If both peaks in The Twin Peaks of Kilimanjaro are shrinking the same, that would be a better indicator.
Time for an expedition to the other peak.

Well, that'll save a bit of time. -
Seven SoldI wonder if the 7 people in Australia that have bought an Xbox so far will have to return them?

Paging Mr. Hilter... Mr Bimmler... the Monty Python routine
Yes, offtopic... but irresistible! -
Obligatory
Someone had to link to this. I think the comparisons are obvious.

Specifically...
This reminds me of the skit where they say "And today we're going to learn how to cure all the world's diseases and build a suspension bridge"!
Spefically, the "How to Rid the World of All Known Diseases" sketch from Episode 28. A good one indeed.

[...] but am I the only one here who thinks "GetRewted" is a bit of a sketchy name for a security patch?
They must be using the same advertising company as Conquistador Coffee...
