Re: Well, I'm screwed
Generally speaking, no competent genealogical DNA analysis...
Hmmm, according to the Houston Chronicle that's going to be a problem:
Scores of pending criminal cases and past convictions could be in jeopardy in the wake of revelations that a former Houston Police crime lab technician resigned after an internal investigation found evidence of lying, improper procedure and tampering with an official record.

Re:Liberals celebrate gun violence
Chicago - 650 murders in 2017
Huston - 269 murders in 2017
Population of both, just over 2 million, yet Chicago has well over DOUBLE the murders. You lied, outright. While calling me names. You are worse than a slaver, a racist, or Nazi. You celebrate blacks killing each other so you can try and pass gun control and remove the rights of US citizens. You are literally encouraging mass murder, and doing NOTHING to stop it, in order to oppress millions of uninvolved people.
Evil is too light of a word for you. I think it is time for people to learn that liberalism supports/encourages mass murder to achieve their ends of oppression.

Re:Going after Russia,
So - since we're talking about Texas and if it's Texas voter fraud has to be pro-Republican:
https://www.houstonchronicle.c...
https://empowertexans.com/arou...
https://www.justice.gov/usao-s...
Since this one was vague about party affiliation: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...Here's the one you're fond of: https://www.nbcdfw.com/news/lo...
Notice it's primaries and run-offs. You can't be sure she wasn't voting Republican to try to make sure the weaker / less harsh on her issues person was the opponent. She may or may not have been a Republican, I don't know, I don't know her and I'm not a Republican, but sabotaging the opposition in primaries isn't unheard of. In Texas we have open primaries, she could still have voted Democrat in the actual election had her butt not been in a sling.Oh look, another one that makes a point of avoiding the mention of party affiliation - isn't it incredible how left-leaning journalist fail to mention these sorts of things when reporting on their own kind? http://www.themonitor.com/mvtc...
Considering the perp was basically hired from Illinois to do the bribery campaign I'm going to say it's fairly safe to say they're Democrats. https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr...http://www.star-telegram.com/n...
You notice when it's Republican they make a point of saying so but when they're not - for lack of further info I'll call this one unknown.....

Re: Leftists will bash Trump for this
Explain how a Jr, Senator of the minority party caused a shut-down.
In this case, the procedural process called unanimous consent. Not to mention their own words and testimony. THEY CLAIMED THEY WANTED TO DO IT. And then they did it.
Answer he didn't, neither did Utah's Mike Lee. In fact the actual blame for the shut-down if it can be assigned to any one person would be to Sen Harry Reid (D), the Senate Majority leader at the time.
Nope! He wanted to pass a bill to continue spending. But not the reckless, insane, moronic, House version.
And they wouldn't back down.
He refused to let any house budget bill he didn't like even be debated. Yes the House's first budget, demanding total recall of the ACA was too extreme. But that's negotiating, you start out asking for everything knowing that you'll compromise.
Nope, that's insanity. You start out with an extreme position, you put the other person in a position where they think less of you, since you're so outrageous. Then when they say no, and you redouble your efforts, as the House, actually did, twice, you convince them that you're further beyond the pale.
Real negotiations recognize the perils of such demands as you make, as you convince the other side that you are crazy.
The House then did compromise, passing multiple replacement budgets gradually diminishing their demands, Reid refused to let any of them be debated let alone voted on. He forced the shutdown and maintained it until the house leadership caved in.
Nope. The House multiple times, kept adding back in their demands, and even increased them. The Republicans in the House, even REFUSED to let anyone other than the Majority Leader in the House, Eric Canton(or someone Cantor said was his designee), offer a compromise. They changed the rules specifically to prevent any other group from coming together.
Cruz and Lee had NOTHING to do with any of that process. They had zero say in any of the Budget bills passed by the House, and zero say in what Reid let onto the floor of the Senate for debate.
Well, that means you're calling Cruz and Lee liars. Which I admit, they are, but they did claim they were responsible for the shut-down, that it was their purpose and intent. They weren't lying about that.
And they weren't the only ones.
Sorry, but the GOP picked up the Shutdown gun, and waved it, in their attempts to force their demands on the rest of us.
Guess who the real cancer on efficiency is. it's not the Republicans.
Sorry, but your completely "alternative" facts, doesn't pass the whiff test.
Shutdowns are Cruz's bread and butter. Yet he avoids responsibility
I get it though, the GOP doesn't want to admit to its own faults, so you try to blame anybody else. You did it for Trumpcare. You did it for the Iraq Withdrawal. You did it for Newt Gingrich's adultery.
Look, I get it, you're used to tweeting whatever you want, and nobody questioning it, but just like the Muslim Ban, what you say matters, and not everybody has the attention span of a goldfish.

Re: Try SEIU
Yeah, the SEIU is not corrupt at all.

Re:PS: A note to Californians headed to Texas
What does this have to with dumb laws
Texas:
o sex toy laws
o responsibility for dumbing down science schoolbooks
o colossal missteps WRT social services...no wonder it's cheap to live there.

Re:Reason for not talking to people
Articles from last year suggest that the Facebook posting was exactly what led to it. After the defense attorney saw the post by the judge, he motioned for recusal and mistrial. Slaughter was removed from the case, and soon after, the new judge declared a mistrial.
http://www.houstonchronicle.co...
The accused was found not guilty, and looking at the details of the case, it's not hard to see why. The child was (and probably still is) severely disturbed, allegedly killing small animals, making threats against his parents, and hiding knives.

Re:Methane Anyone?
The EU would like to buy American gas rather than Russian, but getting enough LNG infrastructure to replace piped gas is incredibly expensive and not something that can be built quickly.
The issue is US export infrastructure, not EU. EU already has an existing underutilized LNG import infrastructure. And, as late as 2008, the EU had plans to double the number of import terminals, but it was cheaper to buy Gazprom. And then the EU began building pipelines to the Middle East, hoping to drive down prices even more. When the world realized this, investment into LNG expansion "tanked".
Point is, the EU hardly cares where they get their gas. The buyer "would like to buy" at the lowest and the seller would like to sell at the highest. Even with LNG investment, the US couldn't beat Russia's price. A preference on who to buy from only becomes part of the equation once the seller starts acting egregiously and the conversation turn from economics to politics. The political conversation, in the form of "sanctions" is an effort to make gas from Russian more expensive than LNG imports. It may take some time for people in EU to realize their gas prices going up. When they do see the bill rise, they will blame Russia easily enough.
On the US side, simply the perception that it would be economically advantageous to ship LNG to EU may be all that is needed to spur investment in LNG export terminals. US companies have long been wanting to converting their now useless import infrastructure: http://www.houstonchronicle.co...
As usual this is all about about, as they say in Texas, "eril".

Bull, don't you pay attention to current events???
The huge wave of illegal immigration by kids has lead for several military bases in CA, AZ, and TX being used to house thousands of kids MANY of whom are SICK and the border patrol is scrambling to get them immunized.
Mexican numbers for things like immunization rates have always been as bogus as the stats from any other hyper-corrupt 3rd world hell-hole, buit in this case thery're fundamentally downright deceptive; All these kids are coming in over the US border from Mexico but, as always, details matter: while many are "from Mexico" (as-in "born there") there are HUGE numbers who are "from Mexico" (as-in passing-through the place on their way into the US) who are NOT immunized in Mexico at all. So while many mexican kids are not immunized because they are part of the oddball portion of their population that is not immunized (like too-many American-born who are not immunized even though most of their countrymen are) the majority of the current wave are from places like Guatemala and are not being immunized as they are magically transported the length of Mexico. Note: I said "magically" because this is obviously an orchestrated scam.... tens of thousands of 3 year olds, 7 year olds, etc are not WALKING the length of Mexico (getting food water shelter etc along the way) completely on their own without their parents and without any government "help".
