But doesn't OnePlus also "spy" on users as well?
Who wins that race? Or is it being joined together?
See https://www.howtogeek.com/3401... and https://elgan.com/blog/why-i-d...
So, now we get Microsoft's public telemetry info being sucked from Windows 10 machines or phone-based platforms? http://investmentwatchblog.com... which includes:
- Typed text on keyboard sent every 30 minutes
- Transmits anything you say into a microphone
- Transcripts of things you say while using Cortana
- Index of all media files on your computer
- When your webcam is first enabled, 35mb of data
- Telemetry dataI'm a OnePlus phone owner (prior to all of this being disclosed), but even I'm considering not getting another one. I can't begin to imagine piling Windows 10 on top of it!

Re:Yes
Pizzagate got "buried" because it was fictional nonsense invented by insane people.
Like that researcher who was assassinated while looking into it.

Re:New services are not stopped by this
Uh.....WOW.....you're totally misinformed.
Twitter isn't stopping them, but the banks absolutely are, and they are working in concert with the big tech companieshttp://www.investmentwatchblog...
(I could find tons of other very recent examples but actually the search results are moderately hard to get for some reason....do your own research from here)
This is directly in the chain of events concerning Alex Jones. Now write me a post about how there's nothing stopping conservatives and alternative platforms from creating their own banking system.
Then write me one about how there's nothing stopping them from creating their own currency.
Then write me one about how there's nothing stopping them from starting their own country.
Then we're talking. This is civil war in the making.PS - HEY isn't it HILARIOUS how slashdot isn't covering ANY of this shit? Not even one article about Alex Jones despite conversation being rampant, let alone all the subsequent fallout. It's almost as if

What this means, in short
Mozilla, which is controlled by Google, has punished Facebook for having offered a Republican Party campaign a fraction of the same services that Facebook and Google offer to Democrats, dozens of commercial marketers, and foreign powers.
There was no similar outrage when Facebook was found to be censoring people who oppose ISIS. How's that for aid to a campaign.

Re:Why do you lie? Rich people go to jail, too.
You're missing something important though. Ask yourself what all of those four rich people have in common and the answer is that their crimes were largely against other rich people.
No! The dude is right. After all, it was reported not so long ago that the USA and Switzerland top the list when it comes to who is most corrupt.
But the USA then preaches to other nation states about - you guessed it - corruption and good governance.

Re: Empirical Evidence
This Russian-Hacked-Our-Election is a an actual Conspiracy Theory being pushed by the establishment/media.So do you believe it? If so, you belive in conspiracy theories.
;)
But you posted, so that opens up another option, as in you're obviously willing to have a discussion, so here I'll provide a few links. The more people that can actually look past this mainstream media-conspiracy about a Russian-hack, the better:
The DNC server is the source of this Russian hack conspiracy that's being shoved down our throats. So if this is true, you'd think our government would have looked at it right? They haven't:
Pick through the links, they're abundant and verifiable -- even Donna B. commented on it when she somewhat betrayed the DNC-cult after releasing her book:
https://duckduckgo.com/?q=DNC+...
We only have the word of Crowd Strike that maybe the DNC server was hacked. It's a belief, not a fact. So as mentioned, no one in our government has looked at it. Why is this?
http://investmentwatchblog.com...
https://www.washingtontimes.co...
I've been paying attention to what's going on, so it's hard to buy into any of this Russia-lie. And I like occasional CAPS, so suck it. Yelling is every single word in caps. :) -
Re:Almost
I think it's reached that point when we have a smart toilet that can show us our statistics online and have our data mined.
Oh wait... maybe that ship has sailed... http://investmentwatchblog.com... -
Re:Nice straw man you got there
The hack on the DNC, OPM, JSF blueprints, NASA, the DOE, FEC, USPS, NOAA, the White House, the State Department, DOD, IRS (and hundreds of large companies) all took place under Obama, jackass. Trump isn't even in power yet. Obama's presidency has been a giant cluster f-k on cyber security.
https://investmentwatchblog.co...
Trump selects an effective executive who was a US attorney for 10 plus years and you idiots lose your shit. Trump won, he is president. Sit down, shut up and take a Valium. Once the guy is actually president, you can judge him based on how he is actually doing.

Re:About time.
Medical Professionals (doctors) used to tout the medical benefits of smoking, paid for by big tobacco, what is the difference between being paid by big pharma and big tobacco to promote products they sell? And don't tell me that Big Pharma isn't part of the equation, because they have legal liability laws written specifically for them (and no other industry).
Take a look at the actual packaging on a vaccine, and see potential issues listed as a side effect?
http://investmentwatchblog.com...Here is the problem, one vaccine may be safe, completely by itself. 47 vaccines together have NEVER been tested as such. The "pro science" people are all great, but there has never been a proper scientific study (double blind) on the effects of a full vaccine schedule. Not only that, there hasn't even been an attempt.
The problem is, it isn't science to guess, it is science to properly study, test, document and show efficacy of the full schedule. That has NEVER been done. And until it is, both sides can argue till they are blue in the face, and are both cannot say that the full schedule does or doesn't cause long term health issues (like autism)

Re:Still Confused ....
As for the hacking, Russia has been on our top 2 threat list to our country for over a decade
I think you mean top threat to our country's energy companies. That's why we're fighting proxy wars over pipelines. Of course the Putin hate really ramped up after they gave Snowden asylum. Hillary has a personal vendetta against him, and is clearly interested in starting a war with Russia just to get at Snowden.
This is not a false flag by the Clinton campaign in coordination with our government, this is Julian Assange coordinating with Russia (to what degree, who knows).
More unsubstantiated Russia hate and warmongering. Assange has now be cut off from the Internet, thanks to threats to Ecuador by the Obama administration. I think it's pretty horrible that it appears the president is ready to start a war just to ensure the current party stays in power.
Again, this is my $0.02 but Hillary has supported President Obama's intention to bring Snowden and Assange to trial here in the US.
And she's perfectly willing to start wars to make it happen.

Re:Easiest way to do this.
Am I the only one who finds it funny as hell that the only ones praising Windows 10 are Apple guys while all the Windows and Linux guys think its trash? Why do you think that is?
I have my own personal theory, its that Apple guys are so used to being wallet raped by Apple that ONLY having to give up their privacy? Sheeeit, that is better than paying out the ass for Apple RAM, Apple NAND, paying current gen prices for last gen's Intel chips, etc. Compared to that level of wallet drain just letting corporate spy on them like an old pervert must feel like a breath of fresh air!
Of course it may be that they simply haven't tried the niceness that is Windows 7, the last truly good and decent OS it appears that MSFT will ever make. No spying, no crappstore, no worthless Metro crapps that spend more time crashing or phoning home than they actual do their intended function, nope just a nice simple clean OS that does what you tell it to and nothing else...aaaahhhh, like a little slice of heaven it is.
Oh and just an FYI, if you think those privacy settings will stop MSFT from spying on you and selling your data to anybody with a dollar? Well guess again, in fact somebody did a traffic analysis of Windows 10 and you want to guess who one of the very first recipients of your data is? Well we do a WHOIS of nsatc.net and wadda ya know, its markmonitor the copyright trolls! So yes Virginia the old saying is true, if you aren't paying for the product? Then you ARE the product.

Re:Boohoo, crocodile tears.
You've got to realize though, that those congressmen are our constitutional representatives. They represent the power of the people in this democracy
I think the OP is referring to the fact that the NSA lied to Congress and the American people when asked about spying, not on Congress, but on the American people:
U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore: Does the NSA collect any type of data at all on millions, or hundreds of millions of Americans?"
James Clapper: "No, sir."
Wyden: "It does not?"
Clapper: "Not wittingly. There are cases where they could inadvertently, perhaps, collect, but not wittingly."
Some Republicans have said He should be fired. Obama said he misspoke.
One might think he should have been arrested. Instead, they arrested the lawyer who asked him why he lied..
We've seen this double-standard applied recently-- no one arrested for torture except the CIA Whistleblower. Leakers getting huge sentences unless their rank is high enough.
If the CIA can get away with spying on Senate computers then that's it. They really are above the law.
They've gotten away with much much worse already. (I started adding links but there are hundreds of them...)

Re:These are the spasms before the end of empire
As a Russian citizen I doubt. You know, the strength of US Dollar is based on the fact that it's the only currency exchangeable to petroleum,
Fortunately, seems you are wrong on this account.

Not the first time...
This is not quite as bad as when Obama appointment the VP of Monsanto as a food safety Czar. Seems perfectly legit to me. http://investmentwatchblog.com/obama-appoints-monsanto-vp-to-food-safety-czar/

Re:Too little too late
It is a big deal if you have to replace a core component of an OS with a third party solution to make it usable.
For some of us, that is the normal course of events.
Linux without some form of X based desktop is fine for servers, but really less than appealing in user land. We are use to trying out several totally different UIs before settling on one.The problem is in the windows world, people are so use to the "take it or leave it" approach they never understood you could replace key parts or even the entire UI if you wanted to.
Microsoft did a good job at suppressing information about replacements or add-ons that virtually nobody knew they existed. But if you go looking for them you will find them.
This release signals the great experiment is finally OVER, and both methods will again be available. Windows 8.1 may actually survive for a while with this feature if they can Just Fix The Security Flaws they designed into it.

Re:I need this explained to me..
It doesn't solve the problem at all or come anywhere close to it. However to address the first claim.. http://thinkprogress.org/security/2011/08/05/289395/u-s-defense-expenditures-dwarf-china-iran-north-korea/ Per that article the US only spends 6 times more than a handful of countries combined. And according to this article http://www.globalissues.org/article/75/world-military-spending the US spends less than 1/2 of the rest of the world combined. And Alternet has it's usual smear pieces saying that Defnse spending is actually $1 trillion. But if you go here http://investmentwatchblog.com/us-spends-more-money-on-defense-than-the-next-17-countries-combined/ they say that the US only spends as much as the next 17 countries combined. But as a percentage of GDP.. The US ranks 3rd on that specific list. And lets not forget.. Those Defense costs INCLUDE the spending on all 4 wars we're in. And if you go here http://www.wallstats.com/blog/total-military-and-national-security-spending-in-the-us-federal-budget/ you can see a breakdown of what exactly entails "Defense" spending. So what goes into Military spending? Are you going to cut the VA? Vet benefits? Vet health care? Enlisted salaries? The FBI?, TSA? (YES PLEASE), Border Security? ICE? CIA? "Defense" does not mean Army/Navy/Air Force/Marines only.. This is NOT to say that there isn't waste or room to cut. Merely that nothing substantial will be gained from it. And to the rest. You didn't list any numbers as to exactly how much you planned to rake in with those taxes and whom would pay them. Remember.. Almost 50% of the country has no tax liability at all. And neither they, nor those who rely on their votes, will allow them to be taxed in any appreciable way. Also consider your tax increase plan. Right now the top 25% already pay between 86 and 87% of ALL the taxes. The earning breakpoint to be IN the top 25% is a family AGI of only $67,000. Which means that a family with 2 working parents making $33,500 each should be subject to an 8% increase in income taxation. Now.. I know you said 20%.. But the readily available charting goes from 10% to 25%.. And the break point to get into the top 10% is $110 for a family. So there's only about $40k difference between the top 10% and top 25%. Meaning one doesn't have to move very high up the chain in family income to get from the top 25% to the top 20%. But still.. For your plan to work out it means that, in order to spend as much as people do and pay your taxes, incomes for everyone will have to rise by your stated amount (13%). eg.. If I have $100 to spend on video games and, with taxes, I buy 5 games at $20.. If your tax increases go through I now only have $92 to spend. In addition the games, with taxes plus your 5% VAT, now cost $21.. I only buy 4 games at $88 and maybe buy some pop or something with the remainder. What the VAT does, as every tax does, is take money out of the private sector. That's 1 game developer that didn't sell a product where he normally would. And trickle the effects up and down the supply chain.. You've also reduced the GDP of the country by 13% (8% income plus 5% VAT).. A real world example would be the gas prices/taxes here in the US. With higher gas prices states are losing money on gas taxes. Consider $.05 per gallon tax and a family with a fuel budget of $100. At $1 per gallon the family buys and uses 100 gallons of gas.. The state collects $5 in taxes. Gas prices double. The family spends $100, gets and uses 50 gallons. The state collects $2.50. The state sees their decrease (which they have and is one reason they're considering
