Linux...
Linux support is the typical response: "We are initially going to develop and release through Steam for PC. However, depending on how funding goes (*hint* *hint*) for the Kickstarter project, we are more than open to releasing it on other platforms too!" Sadly, when this is stated, it rarely comes to fruition.

Re:Wasteland.
You see an IBM AT on the table. The screen says Wasteland 2. You shiver with anticipation.

Re:Or your boss, for that matter?
I suppose it depends on your job, job security, size of corporation, ease of replacement
... but I find that a good dose of snarkiness can help a long way. Or, with a bit of management support (?!?), we've basically had OT outlawed. You can still do it (and we get paid for OT still), but need prior management approval first. This just delays the projects - does wonders for cutting out the crap. -
Bah
The same criticism has been made against movies made over the last 10-20 years, and yet, we find in modern theatres such wonderful, innovative, and novel pictures as . . . uh .

Fallout 3 + Wasteland 2 - I'd pay good money!
Fallout 3 appears to be following in the footsteps of its spiritual predecessor, Wasteland. The Wasteland sequel never got finished, either, but there's still people like me and these folks waiting for it to get finished.
There's folks of a certain age (mine) who would pay more than an average sum of money for a Fallout 3/Wasteland 2 package from an indie company now that they're no longer "profitable". I know exactly which company I wish would do it, too...
