    Andromeda has life because of... well, you know.

    Think what the uproar would've been if they would've killed Seven of Nine. That character singlehandedly (pun intended) saved Voyager.

    I've recently gotten hooked on Stargate. It's probably the first show since DS9 (sci-fi or not) that I watch for a reason other than "because it has hot chicks in skin-tight clothing." Then again, I did start to watch right around the time they had Vanessa Angel playing an alien... Hmmm... Tok'ra Barbie... Yum.

    Seeing Andromeda making it more than one season makes me wonder what would have happened had the late and venerable Gene Roddenberry in passing mentioned Firefly? ;-)

    I mean, I like that Shanks will return as Dr. Daniel Jackson, but what we really need is for this girlfriend Lexa Doig to come on board, she is waste on that other crappy show :o)

    I'll let you all in on a little secret - the REAL reason Michael Shanks left was so he could spend more time spanking Lexa Doig!

    (It's pretty well known that the shooting schedules for Stargate SG1 and Andromeda conflict on a regular basis.)

    Of course, any (straight) guy here would be an idiot to fault him for this :o)

    I mean - if you had a choice between work and this, which would you choose?

    As a science fiction snob, I should never ever watch this show, let alone admit it, but the only episodic television show I watch is Andromeda. Even worse, it's pretty much just because Lexa Doig is so hot. (For those who don't know, she plays the avatar of a massively powerful warship, so she's not even playing someone real, and yet that's part of the appeal. Psychoanalyze me now!)

    I'm going to science fiction hell for sure.

    For non-episodic science fiction shorts, I try to check out Exposure . It's a mixed bag, but usually has something worth watching every show.
