Wrong: A300 over Baghdad Aircraft survived to emergency landing, but a shoulder fired heat seeking missle has hit a commercial airliner before.

Baghdad International Airport in late 2004 or early 2005. I was deployed to the airport when a DHL Airbus A300 was hit by a shoulder fired missile launched by a man on a donkey cart just outside the airport at the end of the runway. The plane was forced to make an emergency landing.

if Terrorist Abdullah is going to fire a SAM-9, he's not going to wait until that 747 full of people is 2 miles away on a departing vector at 5000' giving the laser a nice multi-second chase solution.

Apparently that isn't always the case. They are nutjobs, and not all of them know how to employ what appears to be a pretty basic weapon (ala point and shoot) but really does require some knowledge of engagement envelopes.

They did a similar test with on "BBC Top Gear" with a 747 (owned by Virgin Atlantic):

Expensive, or "difficult to get regulatory approval for," but not hard. They just needed a proper jet engine-- the British show Top Gear had no problem flipping a pair of cars multiple times with an actual 747.

Then they have the nerve to add a levy because fuel prices are high.
How to make it big: Pass ALL* expenses to consumers, keep profits to yourself. * If you do not have enough expenses, make some up.
