Re:The Shark...
I for one can't wait for google to replace their homepage search bar with a friendly, brightly colored, animated search assistant avatar. It'll be the next revolution in user interfaces!
Microsoft already has something like that:
Thank the Great Maker that they used Janina Gavankar instead of Steve Ballmer.

Google->Ms. Dewey
http://www.msdewey.com/
she is like so much hawter than google and will eventually win all of our hearts with her wit. -
Virtual whatnow?
Virtual representations eh?
About as useful as a virtual avatar for a search engine: http://www.msdewey.com/
Bitch never gives me what I want though! -

Re:Don't want "Alternative and Creative"
Exactly. I type in "International News" into http://www.msdewey.com/ and I have to scroll down seriously to find the BBC. Meanwhile, I get shitty cnn and msnbc as the top results, as well as many unprofessional-looking sites. In addition to that, I have to do an additional click to mute the damn annoying chick while I'm scrolling through the list which is incredibly hard to read due to colour combinations.

Re:This is nice stuff.
Talking about outfits, more librarians should dress like this lass!
(Yeah I know it is just MS virus marketing--but she is hot and a virtual librarian!) -
Re:I'm no google shill...
That's a little unfair. Microsoft are far ahead of Google in the field of really gimmicky search engines.

Re:deservedly
Anyone else find it amusing that he selected Bell Labs as the "good" research company?
Considering that practically everything in your computer from the laser in the CD-ROM drive to the transistors in your CPU was invented there, no, it's not at all clear what you mean by "amusing."
What is Microsoft giving the world in comparison? (I mean besides Ms Dewey.) -
Neither does Microsoft's MSDewey.com search
Microsoft's MSDewey.com, a sexy search page with a really hot chick that teases you, requires Macromedia flash. Its sooooo slow on my Celeron, but its jolly-good fun when you call her a 'ho'
