Re:About the MP3 gear in second article
The D Cube is worth looking out for if Ogg Vorbis floats your boat. They're Koren (I think) so they're not that easy to get hold of, but they play Ogg Vorbis just fine, and the site just doesn't do justice to how pretty they are. They're smaller than an iPod Mini.

Someone please review the DCube.
I want to get one but it's just expensive enough that I don't want to go in blind. Haven't seen any real reviews (resellers own doesn't count).

Check these out.
put a table together with the product names, their suggested retail price, the type of media they use and/or built-in storage size, connectivity (Firewire/USB/etc) and their supported formats?
The problem is that new players are being added to the marketplace every day, so it would be a bitch to keep it updated. Also, a lot of the new players are coming out of S. Korea, China and Japan, but are only for domestic consumption, so unless you can read Japanese, Chinese or Korean, you're out of luck.
Little-known secret -- many of the "well-known" players are just rebranded Korean/Chinese units. The most egregious example of this is Jens of Sweden's MP-300, which is just a rebranded Nextway NMP-612T.
You can find a few retailers that sell out-of-country players on the 'net -- my personal favorite is Cool MP3 Store. They feature some of the latest and greatest stuff coming out of the East -- way cooler than mere iPod's or MuVo's. Check out some of these bad-boys. -

DCube NHD-150
I've been looking at a Karma, but today I learned of the DCube NHD-150 which looks like a better product on paper. Okay, no cradle/ethernet, but you get USB2.0 and USB Mass Storage instead.

the engrish site...
makes no mention of the ipod lookalike (NHD-150D). Perhaps they can get away with copying the ipod interface in Korea because of differing IP laws?
The english site link:

FM Transmitter, not receiverOn the korean page you can see "FMT" in the list of features.
On this page in the flash banner, it lists it as "FM Transmitter".
I think that's quite a cool feature. Maybe it does both? Dunno... but thats nice to have an FM link built in so I can just carry it in my pocket but listen to it on my car stereo without connecting it to another little box.

Re:Write About People Pooping With Their iPods Nex
There's a portable mp3 player that transmits music via FM. It even looks sorta like an iPod too with white casing and blue/purplish screen. Check out their English page at http://www.nextway.co.kr/english/product/nmp_612t
