Re:Better idea
Would you say no to her?

Future?
They could immediately be used in human-machine interfaces for capturing electronic signatures, and, down the road, in robots and prosthetics.
And further in the future, they could be used for the skin of AI-equipped Realdolls. I, for one, hope they add a cat-girl with pink hairs option! (Link potentially NSFW depending on your co-workers)

I don't know....The idea of seeing Kasumi Tendo naked just kind of seems incredibly wrong.
Of course, that's just me.

A little script I wrote
This page is my start page, and is pretty much generated by one of seven shell scripts depending on what day it is at 05:00 EST. Simple HTML to load a series of links and that's it, so I can go read my comics in peace.

Do it like the Japanese
Video game advertisers in the US really need to take a lesson from the Japanese. If I saw commercials like this on TV, they'd get my money every time.

Re:I think
The problem with this logic though is that this is a legal issue. It's demonstrated clearly that they are being incredibly childish, but that they have put this in a court makes anyone somehow connected with open source obligated to respond in kind. It could be GNU responding to SCO in some way, ESR's no secrets page, or even writing your own letters and await responses like I did. Hell, even those guys who sent $699 in monopoly money responded by showing what the SCO runtime license was worth.

Hell, no, I won't buy!

You know, here's an idea...Why don't we just get ourselves some initiative here? Send them snail letters.
No, not like mine. I'm talking like postcards. Just think, each of us sends one per day, and it says something ridiculous like "all your base are belong to us" or something. Why not email? Because email can be deleted. The snail mail will tie up their mailroom.

Sue me?

Re:Users should file suit
Oh, don't worry, if they respond to this with a demand for money, I plan on it. Granted it would be small claims, but hey.

My own letter
I suppose now is a good time to plug my own letter to SCO. Yes, I'm self plugging, but why not have a bit of fun?

Linux port
There already is one (though it doesn't cleanly compile for me). http://www.northarc.com/waste_web/

Re:Phish has always allowed tapers
A number of "alternative" bands seem to allow this. I can't speak for any veterans (though I suspect Tom Petty does), but I know that Toad The Wet Sprocket and the alumni thereunto pertaining have never had a problem with it (unless they board the tape).

Not hosting, but...
I have a small rotating list of comics I read, that uses an array of shell scripts and cron jobs to self build.

They can bill me, but I won't payForgent can bill me for the content of the Northarc anime image gallery, but here's what's up - I've been running this archive since 1997. Using JPEGs. It will be a cold day in hell before I pay them.
Frankly, it sounds like what they are doing is borderline barratry.
