    No. The Origami (generation 1) all are using onboard shared video of either the Intel Mobile or Via chipset. They can barely play games from 3+ years ago with Direct X 9.0c.

    The 800x480 resolution is another limiting factor. Most games today do not support that resolution.

    I can see overhype being if Apple did a HUGE announcement at the Flint Center or something. Or they launched a website site teasing about a product. Or did something on their front page to hint at something.

    However, they did nothing like that.

    Yet, Microsoft did with Origami and no one paid any attention at all. That is sad.

    Hey, it's better than Dupes. Though there has already been one today.

    Seriously though, CNet and others need to get a grip. The Mini Mac was a great announcement. It wasn't the PDA or iPhone everyone keeps rumoring about, but it was a good, though small, announcement.

    If you want over hype, check out Microsoft and it's Origami Project. There isn't even a product yet, and yet they have launched a website, and had a media day the same day as Apple. At least Apple is shipping a real product.

    Why haven't they caught on? Fancy chucking a tablet PC in your jacket pocket - it ain't gunna happen!

    Yes, they offer greater run time than a traditional laptop PC, but in terms of portabiltity, they will never (in the current form factor) compete with hand held PDA's.

    Why do you think Microsoft is trying to establish a new form factor http://www.origamiproject.com/?

    Am I personally going to go back to a converged PDA/Smart Phone? No!

    My PDA is just that - an extension of my desktop, a tool for a specific job.

    Others would disagree, but then I don't want Ferrari FXX/Dodge Ram 3500 hybrid either.....
