    yes, i sure would like to see a remake of starflight. MoM i dont actually think it would really be needed, since it looked good enough, and still runs fine on my box.
    anyway, MoM might even get a sequel. well, then again im not sure if i want a sequel like MoO3

    I'll spare you my take on the game, since it has been echoed by many people on MOO3 discussion boards. Try the boards at Apolyton and The Orion Sector. You'll get more opinions about the game than you ever wanted.

    I will advise you to stay away from the official Infogrames boards, however. Most of the trolls and flamers seem to reside there, so signal to noise ratio is much lower.

    Yeah... I was also disapointed (and I'm also a WineX subscriber). Problem is, WineX performance varies WILDLY from one setup to another. Difficult to trust anything running on it as 'out of the box'.

    Wake me up when they actually have a linux port (which, according to some FAQ, is never).

    Their website is hard to navigate, not real user friendly. Maybe that is because they don't really want you to find their screenshots: http://www.orionsector.com/pages/art/art-screens.s html

    Maybe its just me, but these graphics look very very outdated. And the gui and controls match that.

    From the "Official Master of Orion III FAQ":

    Will there be a Linux version?

    • No, but you may be able to use Wine/WineX if you are lucky.

    See this FAQ and look under Technology. For the lazy, it says:

    Will the tech tree be larger than MOO2? Will there be a "creative" race?

    Oh, yes, the tech tree will be a lot bigger. Even three times bigger. On "creative": there won't be quite such a racial trait that will allow you full access to the tech tree, but some races will have larger tech trees then the rest.

    That's three times for ya!
